oh yeah. N/A FC's can,will, and do get over 300hp even 300 to the wheels. its called PORTING and it does wonders for engines with triangles.

yeah i know its been done, but at that point its hardly streetable anymore. and it costs a serious amount of dough....p-port, carbs, headers, duals, a motor that wont last as long as your tires...its possible, but do you wanna go THAT far?

hmm...with 7k.

1000-1500 - FC w/ no engine or FC with blown engine.
900 - J-spec 13BT
or
2200 - rebuilt engine with large streetport
175 - thunder fabrications dp/mp combo
420 - apexi n1 exhaust
24 - home depot intake
250 - S5 turbo
925 - FMIC (GReddy)
350 - APEXi S-AFC
440 - GReddy 720cc injectors (x4)
120 - Walbro fuel pump
90 - FCD
40 - silicone vac hoses
260 - HKS SSQBOV
540 - autometer boost/oiltemp/watertemp/oilpress/fuelpress

you're just under 7k at that point...and with proper tuning, should be at about 15psi (which is about the max effic of the stock S5 turbo)...and maybe putting down 250 at the wheels...rough estimate.

hmmm...7k...250rwhp.
19k+4k for turbo kit...200fwhp.

buy a T2.

by the way...the FC does have a rats nest...took me the whole day to get rid of that crap.

care to show me or tell me where? last time i checked and worked on my car or helped my friend put a new engine in his car there weren't 80 some vacume lines or sequential twin turbos.

and skip the series 5 turbo off the new TII's and just get a T/3-T/4 hybrid. you'll be better off in the long run. and the SAFC will help your fuel issues and you'll be able to play with the curves and whatnot but save for a Haltech because you'll need one and its better to play safely than just bolting a bunch of power adders onto a car. think about it like this. would you want the original nintendo entertainment system controling your car or would you want something like an X-box? the older computer ain't gonna cut it.

and yes,beyond the shadow of a doubt go with the TII + upgrades. no way will a FWD car stand up to it unless its probably not streetable(no interior,swapped engine,race prepped)

Thanks guys. What is a 13BT is that the 3-rotor? Because corksport was selling those for 4,000.... Anyways what 1/4 mile times do you think at 250 or so whp FC could turn up? Thanks...

13BT stands for 13B (your standard 1.3L 2-rotor) TURBO

here's the rundown

12A-1st gen FB

13B-2nd gen FC

13BT-2nd gen FC Turbo

13BREW-3rd gen FD

20B-Cosmo 3-rotor, these may not be that expensive of a motor but are very pricey when it comes to installing and tuning one.

and if you have 250 RWHP i'd expect you to be in the mid 13's, maybe low 13's depending on how good of a driver you are.

I was actually trying to help him out, since there are a lot more RX-7 knowledgable people (asshole and otherwise) over there than here

actually, if you want to avoid all the bulls*** that gets posted on rx7club and just want some real help w/ FCs, go to www.teamfc3s.org, a dedicated forum to the FCs. I've found them to be invaluable in troubleshooting my 91 NA

okay. not trying to be a know it all, but an ex and I did own an 84 GSL-SE. It had a 13b, and all wheel disc brakes. Not too sure what else the GSL-SE had that was different.
