RMM install?

Its really easy.
1 remove under guard
2 remove old RMM
3Install new one
its two bolts Use some wd40 on the RMM so it will slide in easy, just make sure you get the torq. spec for the bolts when you put them on. and the AWR you may have to cut a tab or somthing.

Holy crap, I had been looking for that EXACT write up too! Thanks Spec. And thanks MATX.

No prob. Let me know how it goes. The only concern I have is lining up the bolt holes on the new mount using a floor jack. It was quite a PITA when I did this on my Nissan Spec-V with motor mount inserts.

Which mount are you using (SU, AWR, CPe?). I really want the SU mount, but its been on backorder for a long time. I think its the easiest one to install, because there's no bending tabs or anything.

Make sure to grease up the new mount before trying to install it. Some people recommend grease, others WD-40. I found KY Jelly (believe it or not) worked well on my Nissan. Its water based so it washes off in the rain.

I also had trouble with lining the holes up on the AWR mount. I got the back bolt in and the tip of the triangle bracket in, but it took me a good two hours to get the two "bottom" bolts in on the triangle bracket. It's really a balancing act between engine and transmission. Best advice I can offer is have AT LEAST two, if not three floor jacks so that you can support the engine from both sides and from the rear. Jacking it up from the location specified in the DIY make it a PITA because the engine is actually leaning to one side.

We had my car up on ramps, and an incline so we had more space. In addition, we had just one jackstand for the engine, and just worked very deliberately. lol.

Truthfully, the AWR with having to bend back those metal tabs were a little bit of a pain in the ass considering I used a sawblade (not on a saw) to cut through the top.

holy crap, man. I had a dremel for an unrelated reason, and I was so glad I bought for that reason. It made things a lot easier...
