Rishie's FITMENT RECIPE

By wagon do you mean Protege5? If so, the stock rim is a 16". Either way, it will fit.

^^ 195/60/16 is way tall though. 195/50 is the stock size, my snow tires are 195/55 and look really big and meaty.. but I think there are people running 195/60 without rubbing on stock suspension. it would rub like heck on my car.

But they would fit ?

I love to do some hard-cornering, but hate to hear tires rubbing the car or things like that...
Is it possible to turn around corners hard with 19s and really low suspensions ???
Don't like air-suspensions...

Thanks in advance for the details in offsets, widths, and tire brand options and measurements. Preferably I would like to have ultra-lite forged wheels...

FEDE.:p

Nice pic...question for you. I noticed ur rolling on 18x7.5 in rims. What is the offset of the rims on your P5?

OK question...after reading the first post, I think this should be ok, but I want to make sure...

So, on a p5, if I had 18x7 rims with a +52 offset and a tire size of 215/35/18...I'd be good to go, right?

I'm not lowered (yet) but would probably think about doing it...

Should be good to go. That sounds like what people run with the RX-8 rims, though I think the wheels from the 8 might be 18x8.

Rishie will 18x7.5 with 215/35/R18 work on my 2000 pro? the wheels say to have 42mm offset so im not sure if they will but what do you think

I think you would want a +45 or +48 offset. The +48 would be safer but +45 I have heard will work fine on a sedan.

my mazda 3 rims are 17X6.5 with a 52.5 offset.. would 215-45-17s run good on my stock suspension pro5?? also, soon i will be getting eibach springs and tokico hp struts (blues) would this combo sit well??

You will be very close to the strut with the 52.5mm offset and with a 215/45, 40's would be better. Worst case with the offset is that you could probably get some .100" thick spacers to shift them back out a little.

i figured it would be pretty tight.. i put the rims up on the rear to test fit them and they have 205-50s on em and i could get about a finger and a half between the tire and the strut.. the clearance between the strut perch and the top of the tire could be another story, (there was ample clearance, but the tires are also worn down to pretty much nothing).. 215-45 would give a 96.75 sidewall, whereas the 205-50 gives a 102.5 sidewall.. i didnt really want to go down to 40s caus i live in nyc.. (even tho they look nicer)..

I kind of had my mind set on 17x7 Enkei Evo6 wheels with 215/40R17's until I did some looking around and couldn't find them any higher than +42 offset. I could have gone with 205/40R17's then but as the fitment recipe says, they'd barely fit.

Konig, on the other hand, has 17x7 Holes with +45mm offset, so I'll probably go that route.

this stuff is all confusing

hey people . heres my setup

stock OEM protege 01+ shock
40mm offset 17" with 205/45( or should i take 40?)/17

Planning on dropping ..

but i think that the eibach will lower too much the rear since im on stock OEM shock am i right? i think i will look ugly and wont fit ?

what should i do? should i get espelir? (will it help?)

tell me what should i do please :)

Will 17x7.5 with a 45 offset work on either a 205/40-R17, 205/45-R17 or 215/40-R17 Continental ContiExtremeContact tires for an '03 Protege ES?? Or would this even work with a 215/45-R17 tire?

It may hit your strut spring perch with that slightly taller tire. I only see 215/35/18's which is what I have with full coilovers which just barely clear my adjustment collars. 215/35/18's are a more common size.

i am very close to the strut as of now with 1.5 lowering springs but have not rubbed. i bought the 2" lowering springs before the wheels and want to use them. wondering if i shoulda stuck with 17" wheels....
