Rishie's FITMENT RECIPE

Hi Rishie,

Can you take photos of your car's wheel gap + a side or angle view?
I would like to have a better idea of what you mean, maybe that's also enough for me...

And about this mod you mentioned for the CenterLines, is that some kind of Aluminum spacers?, or is some other mod CenterLine can perform to their wheels...?

Because I don't think they're gonna change their -I guess- extremely production process, to accomodate new Offsets...

Thanks once again for your help Rishie, and by the way, who is Sean?, because no one at least in this Forum has that Name...

Have a nice day (if that's possible on Mondays...)
Andres (FEDE).

I'll see if I can get one test fitted this week sometime. I'll use a Rota and just check it out.

Ok thanks.
I am looking at a set of Rotas.
Are you trying to get some +48 offset 7.5" wheels from Rota to resolve this issue?
Please Email me some pricing on 17x 7.5" rota Sub Zero's for my P5.

Thanks again,
Evan

Hi Rishie,

I just checked another forum and discovered Inimical_01ES car and judging for what I saw on his web site (dude that's a cool car...!), that look would be what I'm looking for...
Just that I would like to use 18" wheels instead of 19"ers.
I also saw there one of your posts and now I get Sean is your partner... (too much work got me kinda slow duhhh). Does he post here also?.

So in the end my little research was quite fine since I was looking for these CenterLine Forged wheels in 18" by just 7" wide which seems to be great due the limitations you mentioned and the rubbing also Inimical_01ES talked about...

Now the thing is this "modification" you were told at SEMA... can you explain a little bit more, I'm really interested!.

Thanks to everyone for the help, and thank god this forum exists!!!!

Later,
Andrs.

I want to drop my P5 with spoolin's springs. They offer a 2 inch drop. Will I be OK with 17x7 with a 45mm offset and wrapped with 205/45-17 tires. This stuff is confusing. Thanks for the help.

ya know...

It would be nice if someone in the know (not me!) could put up a list of rims that do come in the correct offset for the P5....because it seems that everyone asks about rims and of course they're never the right size/offset according to the experts (not me!).....anyone???

I have that list and it will be published on our website very shortly. along with an inventory of those wheels. I am so sorry to have to do this and it's a PITA for me too. Cause I have to answer every question, but I'm doing it to protect the time I've invested into looking into these fitments.

thanks for your patience,
Rishie

that slipstream is a great fitment. Since you're local I can hook you up and take care of everything. Come by the shop and let me know what color you want. I'll be going over to Rota this week.

Thanks, Rishie

Please let me know if you can get silver 17x 7.5" Rota Subzeros with a 48 mm offset when you visit Rota this week.
Looking to buy very soon.
Thanks,
Evan

I'm looking to get a set of 17x7.5 tarmacs for my mp3. Whats the deal I've been hearing about having to have the inside of the wheels machined, and removing my cars dust caps?? How much of the wheel needs to be machined? Where can I have this done?

Thanx for your time guys,
Zach.

just so you guys are informed on rota wheels i'll post this. this happened saturday in houston, at the event before the one i went to, at the same location.

This was posted on the Evolution list by James Rogerson:
"Today we had a Subaru with Rota (brand) Attack (model) wheels shear the rim away from the hub. All five spokes showed oxidation at least 1/2 to 2/3 of the way through from the inside. I checked the other wheels and found a fine crack on the inside of two spokes on one other wheel with my thumbnail. There is ALMOST NO VISIBLE crack. The crack is masked by the powder coating. One other Rota wheel has a raised line on the rear of the spoke that is discernable by thumbnail only. I'd advise anyone using these wheels to check them for cracks on the inside of the spoke about 1.5 to 2 inches out from the hub.
......... Wheel sheared in a 180 deg sweeper, typical Roger Johnson Nationals course."

please be sure to check your rotas often!!

now for my question. i've got the stock DX steelies with 195/55/15's on them. i want to get 205/50/15's but i'm not sure if they will fit. should i get 205/55/15's to ensure the sidewall can flex in if needed? equinox is running 205's on his p5 16's and i want to be sure i'm not gonna have to return my falkens.

I'm going to give this a shot, knowing ARD doesn't know EVERYTHING and that he is very busy :). Anyhow, I'm going to buy some spool lowering springs (2" drop front and back). I have the stock MP3 17" wheels. When I get replacement tires later this spring, will I be able to go with 215/40R17s? Or is this too wide with being lowered? I appreciate any help from anybody.

Chris

I have 215/40's on my MP3 right now and they don't really seem to stick out any farther than the stock 205/45 tires. You should be just fine.

rowan,
Thanks for the reply, but are you dropped at all? That would most likely change things.

Chris

doomer...you should be fine.....I ask Rishie about this VERY SET UP a while back as I am headed in that direction....he said it was fine.....no problems rubbing at all.

Sir Nuke,
Thank you for the response. So you're gonna go with the spool springs? They seem like an awesome deal. I know 215 vs. 205 isn't a very big difference, but I think it'll definitely be noticable (visually). Going to my 195 snow tires is definitely a difference :).

I havn't made up my mind yet as EXACTLY what I am going to do with the suspension...but I posed the questions to the experts to find out what worked FIRST....no need to consider something if its not going to work....

I'm looking at 17x7.5" (5x114.3)+45 w/215/40/17". I've lowered my ride with eibach springs. Would this work or would I need to go to a +48 to be safe?

thanks
