Rico's build thread.

No might buy one now.

Jeez, get that done already :P

I have a header so i guess cat on the mid pipe went bad huh ?

No, you're getting that code because you have a header. Look into doing the "non-fouler trick", if you're lucky it'll get rid of that code.

Vcts not worried will be getting the mp3 flash soon just the first 2 are my problem and also a frozen driver caliper now too !! Ugh

You should be worried, if that code is there for real (and not as a consequence of something else) then that means that your VTCS butterflies are closing on their own without the ECU telling them to! Changing ECUs would not change that fact.

the mp3 keeps them open ?
And I'll look up the fouler truck and get the o2 tomorrow

Yes, but the code that you got is implying that the ECU has detected that they're closed even though it told them to stay open. Imagine if the VTCS solenoid was stuck open, then the VTCS valve would remain closed regardless of whatever kind of ECU you have plugged in. Luckily the solution to this problem might simply be blocking off the vacuum hose to the VTCS actuator...

Um true . I did change those two top sensors. And which one will that be? Where is the actuator at ?

Looking good Rico. Let me know how you like the injen intake. I love that version but I'll most likely get the red silicone.
Still cant decide between CAI and SRI though with all the rain I get up north here...

SRI, there really isn't enough difference between the two to go through the trouble of a full CAI and the rain. Plus SRI makes it easier to change filters

thx. right now it looks like crap. no msp lip. no retros. or fogs on lol.

but thats because im doing a front end chance hopefully soon.

so far i like the intake. got a badass deal on it from evan aka lewis on here so im happy :)

ill take pics of intake on today or so.

Changed my main o2 sensor. 40 miles in still no code. Got paint for my new bumper and for parts that ate faded to get painted. Scored a cat-less midpipe that I been looking for.*
