Thanks for the explanations. I definitely wouldn't push the envelope like he did, but I certainly want to get maximum tuning capabilities in order to make it faster yet still reliable. Hence the standalone.
right, but your FMIC or midpipe or your motormounts arent going to just stop working like a meth system can. thats the difference. theres inherent risk in using methanol as a crutch, because its a fairly complicated system with a lot of points-of-failure, and any of them can kill your protegepeople use most things as crutches. the whole " Supporting mods " idea is based on it.... " oh i have a front mount, im gonna run more boost " or anything like that.

" oh i have a front mount, im gonna run more boost " or anything like that. you just have to be smart with your tune. the guy that is tunning my car has tuned more than a handfull of 400+whp daily driven street cars on e85, most with meth, they all run great...
Nice build yo.what made u decide to run aem over a haltech standalone? Can you run meth and also have a tune for street fuel?
Ive been away for a while, and damn your car has came around. I sold my MSP back in March, but I am thinking I will get another one..........something about them that I miss. Seeing yours makes me wish I still had mine for sure. Maybe Spicy orange for me next>
Car was wanting to stall on me when I was coming back from class tonight. I was thinking a loose coupler but I don't see any. Only thing I do see is some oil on the valve cover that appears to be coming from the crank case. Is this a sign that my motor is taking a s***?
What are your vacs? I'd do a compression test if you are worried about the life of your motor. You might just need a new valve cover gasket.
