Hey all - my stock batter terminal connections are garbage these days.
What are rec's for replacing? Just do the clamp, or the whole wires?
Any suggestions would be great - thanks

I replaced the cable ends... Have a friend that works at interstate do it for me... they were cheap and worked well

I got a Optima Battery and pickd up some gold plated battery connectors for show and my negative i think side clamp is all the way tightended and it still has enough slack to just move around on the terminal. but its been like that for nearly 5 months and nothing has given me trouble.

i had that happen to mine which is why i replaced mine... -40 degrees Fahrenheit is not ok with loose battery terminals haha

anyone know how hard it would be to replace the cables? because my positive cable can hardly reach the terminal.

the positive on you can replace, it just bolts to a spot on your fuse box... you can only replace one of the two wires on the negative side as one goes into the wiring harness...this is simple stuff guys just look at it

I am in the same boat. My '03 Speed began to have more and more trouble starting when the weather turned colder...in NJ lately it has been 15-25 degrees at night and in the morning. I bought an Optima red and threw it in thinking it would solved issue. Car starts totally fine sometimes and not so well other times. Looked at negative terminal and noticed there is a crack in it. It is not able to clamp all the way around terminal.

Negative has two wires, one I believe can not be changed...goes into a loom under the battery tray, so I have to change the terminal and not the wire.

Is this hard to do??? Looks like a nightmare to open up the part where it clamps on the wire...will regular pliers do it?? Not so sure...

What do you guys think....

thanks.....
