Replacement Engine for P5

I see that it has been asked about a few times but most responses are to add a turbo for engine performance. My question is what engines can be put into a P5 because it has been really hard to find a P5 replacement engine. (My engine is completely done) I also need to know what extras are needed to get the engine to work with my P5 (fittings or whatever). (I'm not super car savvy so please use easy terms.)

Thanks

standard FS 2.0 Mazda engine will fit and be direct replacement. Same motor as the mazdaspeed protege minus the turbo. You could go the route of Mazdaspeed motor with turbo, or even a KL-ZE 6 cylinder imported from japan, the 6 cylinder is not a direct replacement and will require some rigging to get going. It can be done and has been done. Stock 4 clyinder runs 125hp on a good day, 6 cylinder runs 200hp.

If you want to be really crazy, you could get a KL-ZE swap and turbo that, now your talking performance.

Call Al Japanese engines in opa locka. They stock FSDE engines. See how much to ship or you can pick up.
