ok i didnt know where else to post this.

ok i need to recharge my girlfriends AC in her 96 cherokee. i know they sell those kits for like 20 bucks at autozone, which look like you can just screw them on and they empty their contents..but where can i get more info, or if someone has done this, could use some help.

thanks in advance.

Do a google search. Lots of good info on how to recharge a system. Fortunately, it doesn't sound like you need to do a conversion from R-12 since her car is a '96.

you will need the recharge hose and you have to see if it has the screw on fittings or the quick release couplings to know which hose to buy.also you will need a can of ester oil for the compressor,i always get a can of 134a with the stop leak and then a regular can of 134 or 2 depending on how low the thing is or if it is all the way empty.

oh yeah you have to put the line in on the low side which is usually closest to the drier toward the firewall and put it in there.also if its been a while since it has been ran you will need to flush the lines as well.

I'd Recomend Replacing All The Seals On The Lines Too, The Freon Didn't Just Leave On It's Own.
