2017~2025 CX-5 Rear AC Vents Retrofit?

Hi all,

Pretty much as the title, has anyone successfully retrofitted the rear AC vents to their vehicle?

I bought a 2021.5 CX5 used over a year ago. Having moved from a market where all these cars are equipped with the rear air vents I didn't think to verify, and ended up with a trim without one.

Now I really like this car though as it has everything I need for a daily. But my daughter would certainly appreciate a bit more cooling/heating. I've been researching for a few days to no avail, not sure if it'd be plug-and-play or a more involved project. I found a post regarding the 3, which seems to require cutting into the AC case, is it the same with the CX5?

Any info is much appreciated, guys!

Nothing with Mazda is plug and play - my experience.

On the topic - the AC box may be different (i.e missing the lower ducts) but I dont know for sure.
If the AC box is different its dash off and very involved and expensive.

most definetely you would also need the extra ducts and prob diff central console between seats.
