I decided to do the fluid swap on the car, and already ordered 3 qts of Amsoil synthetic transmission fluid, but was asked and didn't really know. Is there any real difference/benefit between MT90 and the Amsoil?

Price is identical, and looking at the specs on both, the flashpoint is slightly higher on the MT90, the viscosities are rated differently, which is all foreign to me.

Anyone had experience with both? I've heard nothing but good things about both in their own right, but not one vs. the other.

I've got the MT90 in my car and love it. I mainly got it for the winter cause it was a pain in the but to shift when the car was really cold without it.

However one of my friends bought the Amsoil which I drove and I couldn't tell the difference. I think either one you get you'll be happy with it and is so much better then the stock fluid.

I installed the Amsoil in my transmission and rear diff. The trans fluid feels the same, and the rear diff whines a bit less with the new fluid. I guess we'll wait and see how the cold weather fares on it.
