Recommend a 215/40/17 tire for P5

My Falken Ziex ZE-512's are on their last days. They have been good for me. Seem to wear too fast. I don't drive agressive, but I don't drive like most tards out there either.

So what else is out there in that size that are comperable in price and performance? And please refrain from recommending a tire that DOESN'T come in a 215/40/17!!!!!

i got hankook ventus hr tires in the package i bought and theyre not as bad as i thought they would be. rather grippy for a h rated tire and they last a while. been on mine for about 8k and there wearing very evenly. then again i rotate my tires every 3k and do the alignment. there little tricky in wet weather but mos tires that your lookin for will prolly be. and the price is dirt cheap. thats the only exprience with 215/40/17. ill be swapping to bridgestones when they are needing repacing (i work for them)

You can look up Federal 595s, I think they are the tires that you are looking for (first)

federals are crap. the 205/40/17's hes talking about are the re750's and are 56 each last time i checked. great tire

Any Yoko Prada Spec 2 user's out there. Been looking those...seem to be a good value.

This is a summer radial only btw, not all season!!

i had them on my old car, thats all i ran. the tread wear is pretty good but the performance isnt that high. i was runnin 205-45-17 on them btw. but they look good, not noisey, decent all around tire. id rock them again if i didnt get such a steal on bridgestone tires

I didn't know they offered the RE750's in 40 series. If you can get those there is no other choice. I want those tires back but they don't offer them in 215/45/16.

Hey I have Kumho Ecsta SPT's and they seem pretty good to me - not all that expensive in that size either. I know some people complain about soft sidewalls but you won't really notice it unless you're pushing it. Just my $0.02...

The RE040's are stock msp tires. They aren't very good trust me. The RE750's will blow them out of the water. I prefer these over the SO3 poles anyday. You will not be dissapointed.
