MP3 With Clunk Package
I just called my Mazda Dealer, and i told him about the new bushings and he said that even tough there is a new part number, he doesn't have any service bulletins about it. They had one about rusted bolts tough!

What do i have to tell him? I'm getting my windshield fixed Monday, and i'm pretty sure it'll be hot (talk about a s*** winter...) and I won't be able to show ( make him hear ) all those crappy sounds the bushings make, so they won't gix it. He'll just say "no problem there". Grrrr

I feel your pain...Everytime I make an appointment to go to my dealer, its hot as hell (well, 50+ deg; which is hot for winter IMO) and I can't recreate the noise...call Mazda USA and at least log a complaint so they can't say they don't have any reports of the complaint from you or anyone else. :)

Well some people here had it fixed... i wonder if they had to reproduce the problem too?

Cameleon3 you there? Where did you get it fixed i'll tell my dealer to call there :)

Call St.Constant dealership (Joel (service manager)...I didn't have to reproduce the problem but it took them 3 times to realize that I was having a problem after I complained to Mazda Canada CS...tell them to call the Technical Hotline (some internal hotline for them)...anyways....if they say there isn't any problem...how come most people here (including me) know the replacement bushing #??? hhhmmm...interesting...Love my car but Mazda are a bunch of cock suckers...

I gave him the part number, he checked on his computer and came back and said "bushings eh?"... but he then said that Mazda often change their part numbers but that doesnt mean there was a problem.. $#)(*@.. Anyhow i'll make him call your service manager on monday... i'll have the last word.

Good luck man!!! I wish I could do more help...If that doesn't work I would suggest do what I did and call Mazda Canada CS and file a complaint and then tell them to call your dealership...

If you guys think that mazda is bad you should getting Damlier-Chrysler to do anything. Being an X-employee in the service dept. I can tell you it's b*&^$!! One tip for yall I know for a fact that mazda gives the dealers two extra "warranty tickets" so we'll call them. These just allow the dealer to do either customer requested in warranty or out-warranty repairs. Ask you're service manager about 'em.

I had my windshield changed today so i tried to get other things fixed.

Once again, they had no idea what they were talking about when i told them my rear suspension made noise. So i called Mazda St Constant
and a service guy there told me that they had changed the bushings on one MP3. But he told me that if it doesn't bother me too much, that
i should wait because Mazda hasn't released a definitive fix yet. He said that the current fix involved putting 2 layers of electric tape
and silicon. Electric tape?? er... Then at the end of the day my dealer FINALY told me Mazda is aware of the problem and i'll be contacted
once they release a fix.

I tough they released a new part for the bushings? Are Mazda like really slow to communicate their info to the dealers?

ELECTRICAL TAPE??? DIDN"T SEE ANY OF THAT...PLUS THE GUY NEVER TOLD ME THAT AND I WAS TALKING TO SERVICE MANAGER...my car is fine now but **** those guys piss me off...

Yeah, the tape and lube trick. I had mine done that way about 2 months ago. It eventually came back. I've got another set of bushings now, 3rd set, and lube/tape again.

Some fix huh.

Cameleon, i talk to a guy at Mazda Brossard..is that the same as Mazda St Constant? i tough i was calling there. lol.

Anyway my dealer told me that alot of dealers have tried various things but the problem will always come back... so if it didn't bother me to wait for a definitive fix, that mazda is working on it.

Since our winter is almost over as it seems.. i don't mind waiting.

rear suspension noises

I am having the same problem with noises in the rear suspension.....going over bumps it is squeaking and a kind of grinding noise. I find that it happens worse when the car is cold!! I asked the dealer about it and they said that it was because of the "performance" suspension is tighter and has to loosen up. I don't agree, what did you find out about the noises?

Yah Karl...Brossard and St-Constant have the same owner...no matter how many times they give u the run around, you keep bothering them until they crack...like I did.. :D

you guys that are new should do a search for key works like "clunk", "bushings" and etc. This topic has been mentioned a LOT, and this site has some great info on it. I'll sum up two things though

1. The clunking noise is NOT normal, and is a defect of some sort with the REAR bushings attached to the sway bars. Mazda is apparantly aware of it, and is get together a fix. While your waiting, get your dealership to replace them, and lube them with silicon. It'll buy you some time.

2. The squeak in all 4 corners when it's cold is NORMAL with high end suspensions. Ask anyone in a cold climate that has a suspension kit on their car, high end bushings or related stuff, and they will say the same thing. Once it warms up, it should go away again. I'm already noticing a difference since it warmed up here some.

need more, just do a search guys.
