Well,

My Mazda 3s GT had its re-flash completed this morning. I need to drive it some in order for its system to reprogram itself.

I can't wait for more power out oy my lil 3s. (first)

Well, I have not been able to tell any difference in my vehicles performance. ugh....... I guess I just need to order that Borla Exhaust.

What did you expect? All they did was update the computers firmware.....and alkl that does is sets new set points.....

Well, they also have some false advertisement on their website.

Mazda 3 2.3 N/A

Stock HP/TQ - 166/152
Tuned HP/TQ - 182/ 176
Raise Speedlimiter - yes
Raise Revlimiter - yes

Showing that type of increase is why I had them do my Mazda 3s GT Hatchback.

That's unfortunate. My experience has been that unless you're running forced induction, I would be extremely skeptical of a re-flash that advertised over 20 lb-ft of torque gain. Since the torque is really just a function of how much air and fuel the engine can suck into the combustion chamber at a given RPM, changing the ECU program will have minimal impact without modifying either the intake and/or exhaust. I could, though, see some HP gains by raising the rev-limiter and changing the engine timing at the upper RPM ranges, especially if the new mapping included using premium gas or octane boost.
The problem with that, however, as I've mentioned in other posts, is that it's almost impossible to "feel" a power gain when it's just in the last 1,000 rpm before the redline. But it should show up as a performance gain at the dragstrip as you can hold each gear for just a little bit longer.

Well, for some odd reason, I went from using Shell Premium fuel to Citgo Plus fuel with a great amount of improvement. Mu Mazda now has more power, more torgue and more revs. I did not know a decline in fuel would do that. Oh well, I like it. LOL Citgo fuel PLUS from now on.

Well that's good to hear.
I believe you mentioned in another post that you are also running either a CAI or SRI intake and performance exhaust.
If that's the case, I would be interested to see what your car would pull on a dyno with the ECU upgrade and the Citgo fuel.
I have to believe that the MZR motor is capable of 190 ~ 200HP (160 ~ 170 at the wheels) with everything fully optimized.

No. Mine only has a CAI and Flash. No exhaust at this time. When I get one, it will be a Borla.
