how hard were they to install? There is a midas garage right next to my work. The guy said about $42 for 30 mins, or $84 for an hour.

I would consider doing it myself but I am not 100% ready to drill into my car.

If you can take off a wheel then you can install the flaps.

You arent really drilling into your car at all. You are drilling the head off of a rivet that holds the plastic wheel well pieces together.

Please don't pay for anyone to do this, its so easy its not even funny. The biggest b**** is pulling the wheel well liner out from behind the side skirt.

Live near anyone from the forum or anyone into cars at all? invite them over.

Not worth spending even 40 bucks on to get them installed!

I installed mine in about an hour. Print off the instructions from a color printer, the ones they give aren't very good quality.

Took me a couple hours, but I tend to be slow on things like this. I'll second the suggestion to print the instructions on a color printer, you can't tell what in the heck the pictures are portraying in black and white photocopy.

Yeah I remember you mentioning that, thats why I did it. Their copies definitely suck.

My s***-ass road to work was poorly patched when it was like 40degrees yesterday so the pavement is all coming apart and all those bad tar pebbles are allllllllllll over the road. I am so happy I have the flaps now because the tar would be all over my car right now.

would these fit a protege?

I'm sure they could work on your protege, the holes might not line up but you could drill new ones?

Take pictures of what the rear set up looks like, because there is a spacer involved hopefully its somewhat similar on there.

My buddy slapped a set of those bright red ones (the ones that are completely red) on his blue MKIII gti (dunno) and I know they dont make them for VWs. So if you are willing to experiment then I'm sure you can get them to work.

ill post better pictures when its nicer out... its been raining and all the leaves and pine needles are out and on the ground so my car is a bit of a mess. but good thing is the flaps work! most of the dirt is from saturday night before i installed them.

Can we get some more, better pics, like in the sun light from the front, side, back, and different angles? It would help my decision. Thanks man!

It took me a little while to install, but that's because it was getting dark lol. Once you do one side the other side takes five minutes, cake work.

Edit: Forgot to mention IAG send 2 window decals and a license plate frame. RA sends a miniature mud flap key chain lol.

If this isn't taken care of before then, I will take some better pictures on Saturday. Only time I have really since it gets dark at 4:30 now.
