Can anyone tell me how do I turn up the boost, and would I need to get a boost gauge pod. Also would there be any power gain after turning up the boost!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(mspo) (mj) (gun) (msporange

What is a good brand for a boost control, and boost gauge pod. Also how much do they go for. What color is your speed bruh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

speed naw dont have one, its a turbo mp3. for pod check jegs.com. for boost controller, well thats a matter of opinion. check spool-turbo.com.

Search, search, search!

Check the "Mega MSP Info" thread...there's a link in it for an aftermarket parts guide that I compiled.

It will answer your questions about raising the boost.

WOH!!! Hold up there sparky!!! You need to educate yourself before you just go and do this kind of stuff!!!!

you live in Chicago, so find MSP owners on here from Chi-town and I'm sure they'll all be willing to help you out.

Basically...turning up your boost is not a simple process. Installation of the components is simple enough...but making sure you don't hurt your car takes more background.

1) Start by getting a boost guage first
2) Answer this question...is your car's ECU flashed?
3) Research options for boost control...there ar 2 basic types...MBCs and EBCs. There are also hybrids like dual stage.
4) The big thing is also understanding that you will hit fuel cut at 10 psi without something to block that. Also...10 psi is generally considered safe for the MSP for daily driving.

I hit fuel cut at 9 psi when it's cold and damp.

Boost gauge...

Then an MBC, pick whichever one you want. Go look in the big FAQ sticky for a whole bunch of manufacturers.

So for a reflashed ecu, 9psi it the highest you can go before hitting the fuel cut?

Is the 3psi gain really noticable?
Thanks

you should probably go read alot more about boost pressure, detonation, and air fuel mixtures before turning up the boost. asking a question like :"Also would there be any power gain after turning up the boost!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" kinda indicates you should probably learn a lot more about how your car works before you start ******* around with it. but hey, whatever.

Yes around 9 or 10 psi when you are flashed, although there are a few on this board who say they are up around 12 after the flash? As for turning up the boost to 9 and feeling the diff. YES you will feel a big diff.

yes and go 12psi....its nice and no probs of detonation or fuel delivery.

I'd be weary about running more than 9 or 10 psi all the time because I could hear detonation at around 10, but thats with my bad 91 octane in Cali...

My brother's cousin's sister's boyfriend's dog has a MSP and he's running 17psi post flash on 93.
