radar detector

which radar detector did u guys use? cause i want buy one on ebay..... but i don't know which one is good.....anyone have a good idea?

since i work at Best Buy in md(illegal in va) and bought it.....and must i say it already paid for its self. Best advice is try not to go cheap. When it comes down to it "you get what you paid for" and it really will pay for itself after some time. Also dont get cordless ones

BEL-tronics has a 650X that is supposed to be kick ass, but expensive! It runs about $300+ dollars. Escort is really good and if you get the detector with the red display, it is a lot less than the blue display. Valentine 1 has been the industry leader for the longest time. K40 is really good too, but IMO their portable radar detectors suck. You can't distinguish which chirps represent what band of radar the cop is using when it goes off, not very impressive range, and the feautures were not all that great.

I have heard a lot of complaints about Cobra though. I hear it goes off all the time from false alarms that some owners figure why bother and end up disconnecting for good or until they get a different name/brand. PNI is supposed to be pretty good, but the top 3 IMO would be: Valentine1, Bel-tronics, and Escort. Stick with those brands and you won't be disappointed.

that's what I did, I used it and returned it because of how man false alarms it showed. the cobra I mean.
