Question about the Bose amp

If I gain access to the amp for the Bose system (under front seat?), are there any adjustments I can make on the unit? Is there a subwoofer output I can plug into? Maybe I'm asking for too much from a factory amp ? :)

When I replaced my cabin air filter by opening the glove box completely, I noticed a large BOSE labeled amp to the right and above the filter. It must be powerful as it has large cooling fins. I have seen drawings of a BOSE amp under the passenger seat but have not looked there...

NO outputs available or adjustments- I added a sub and decided to keep the factory headunit- i had to tap into the speaker outputs to obtain a signal to use for the rcas. Someone on this site uploaded a wiring diagram of the bose system- made it quite easy to install

Yes, the amplifier is in the passenger foot well just above the kick panel. There aren't any adjustments on the amplifier, which makes sense because the system was designed with known signal levels between the head unit and the amplifier. If you're looking to add a subwoofer, you can tap the signal on the pre-amplifier level signals on the input side of the amplifier present on the small wiring harness, choosing either the Front or Rear channels. The signals coming from the factory deck are non-amplified, so there's no need for a high-to-low converter. The signal from the CD player is equal to that coming from an aftermarket unit--with the only difference being that there are no RCA cords.
