Question about corksport exaust

I just ordered the corksport exhaust. Its back ordered just so you know. Anyway, yes you need A MIL eliminator if you dont want a CEL. I ordered mine from www.apexr1.com like $30.00 or something. I read directions and doesnt sound hard to install. Plus your gonna need Kartboy exhaust hangers $25.00 from kartboy.com. And for the exhaust part its preaty easy. If you have a lift and basic open end wrenchs and ratchets you should be done in about 2hrs Maximum. So i hope this is what you needed to know.

You don't need kartboy exhaust hangers. You can use longer exhaust hangers (which might be ideal) - - with kartboy or stock rubber hangers the exhaust metal hangers require some bending for it to fit properly. Performance gains are 13hp so it's very worthwhile for the price but it's essentially a 1off exhaust. It looks great, the welds are impressive (you can see many pics in the very long group by thread) and it is a pretty easy install which is also detailed very well in that long thread. Lastly, it sounds flawless outside the car, just perfect. On the inside of the cabin it can drone at higher rpms. At 3,500 rpms (80 mph in 5th) it's hard on my ears. But with those negatives and positives it was the 400 I spent on my car period.Speedplease said:
you do NOT need kartboy bushings, just a torch and another set of hands. the MIL eliminator is very simple although slightly time consuming to install. i ordered mine from apexr1 for $25 and it came with very thorough instructions. all you really have to do is pull out you rear O2 sensor (very easy) then chop the wiring in half and solder 4 wires into the O2 sensor (corresponding colors of course)

Only the gods know that answer to that. Wish I could help there. I don't see any reason why they can't be contacted directly, maybe ask them to post so they don't recieve 1,000 calls with that very question. Dunno, just a thought, they seem to friendly and helpful.Pkay said:

you dont need to get the cell fix for $25 bucks. my cell came on about 2 days after putting my exhaust on. I put a 1m resiter in the blue wire of the 02 sensor and its been good for a week and half now.
as for the longer hangers, i would reccomend just bending the metal hangers, I have longer hangers on mine and my exhaust some times moves and bounces on the rear subframe. im just going to heat and bend my exhaust hangers and put them back on with kart boy hangers in the NEAR future. also they are right about the drone on the freeway, but everbody that hears the exhaust LOVES it.

As for the check engine light, there are many out there to fix it so at this point we did not bother making one. Our Tuner Computer is suppose to be built with that eliminator included. I'll know if they did that today when the car gets back from Unichip.
I guess it's a misuse of the term but it's not a piece made for the car in mind based on the fitment. It's not a knock on your great product which I am very glad I own. But it's an honest assesment of the fitment in regards to hand bending hangers. Like I said, not a knock, I'm really happy with the part and with your company. Well think if it as luck more than anything. I was pretty stoked when I first test fitted it and it worked. :-D
I'm in constant search for more products for these cars. I'm on the phone with an ignition company now.

I was told when I ordered mine It will be availble End of May. Who knows Hopefully it will! And why go through all that trouble with heating and bending just buy the kartboy hangers they do work and save you all that trouble plus there cheap!Pkay said:
Because the Kartboy hangers don't do a damn thing for the issue that the muffler sits too high in the back! In fact, they only make it worse because they tend to hold the exhaust slightly higher and more firmly. You still have to bend the metal hangers or buy longer hangers.Speedplease said:

Its funny you say that because somebody else I spoke with said the Kartboy hangers cured his problem with the muffler sitting to high in the back. All I can says is Ill find out when i recieve my exhaust.Heathen23 said:
