any ideas why? my idle is fine i gapped them at .32 with the stock plugs in i held boost just fine then i put the aftermarket ones in and im spiking

my guess is , your old plugs were waaaay fouled . and it has nothing to do with the new plugs at all. how many miles on the old ones? msp runs way rich and fouls them up easily,
if your uncomfortable with the spike turn it down a notch.
unless its spiking more then say 3-4 psi for more then a brief second . i wouldnt worry
i just noticed your running a larger rail etc.. new plugs = better combustion for all that added fuel. giveing better response . i wouldnt be suprised if the spiking stops in a few weeks .

How badly are you spiking and are you running a MBC? The MBC I have found starts to **** up after one year, I got a 12 Lb Spring and don't bother with controled boost anymore!

i still think his old plugs just just foul .
more fuel + more spark = more exhaustflow =faster spool
he might of had incomplete combustion with his old plugs and was not getting the maximum potential of his mods

that and or boost creep from the s pipe not being able to handle the amount of exhaust flow

maybe not. normal cars and trucks should last 30k. so i figured half for a msp since of the rich conditions
I replaced mine at 5k miles and they where black like after the one in your lawn mower is replaced 10 years later :)

im on my third set in 21k miles . stock changed out after about 10k then i tried the colder plugs , and they fouled up hesitated and plain sucked in just a couple months
atm im using bosch plat x2 they seem ok for the last 6-8k or so . but feel like its almost time again.

boosting 15 it holds just fine but when ever i turn off the car and start it again it wont hold, then the next time it will hold its wierd. spiking 15 to 10

oh yeah and its a ebc the greddy b spec II im also on a stock bov so that could be some of the reasoning maybe it just cant hold that much boost i will see

Damn mine are all stock at 12PSI for over a year and over 40k miles no problems. Runs great, gets great mileage, etc.

Yah, im still on my stock plugs, just pulled 27 MPG city @ 31,000 miles. *shrugs* I'll be replacing them soon though.

Damn U dexter! : )
I get 18 MPG when I rag the crap outta it in the city, I also get 18-18.5 when I grandma it at 50-55 on the highway. I get 18MPG period, no matter how i drive ; (. Don't wanna flash (just got joe P and cheap autometer guage in), but will try colder iridium plugs and the joe P for some air to go with all that fule and maby a better spark.

reset your battery maybe? haha i changed my first set of plugs at like 8 k miles. and i'm on stock boost, rich runnig owns you. (humpleg)

There has to be something terribley wrong with your car if it only gets 18 mpg in the city or on the highway. As a matter of fact, the would be next to impossible to get the same gas mileage.

With the Profec B Spec II you have to "reset" it every time you turn on your car. That is, if it's left on when you turn off your car, you have to turn the Greddy unit off then on after you've started your car. If it's turned off then you would just have to turn it on.

Hope that helps.
