Lots of people have gotten 8k off of MSRP. Myself and a couple other guys got 8K off in the Boston area.

Did you get the GT or the Touring? Looking at the other threads you can get $8k off for a Touring.

GT. I have seen a handful of folks get GTs for 8K off of MSRP. I saw one guy who got more.
I call bull to anyone who gets 8k off a current MY $40k vehicle (except Chrysler products) and there are no rebates or trades added in there. You can shut me up with your bill of sale (eekdance)
Average tissue is 8 percent off MSRP and if no rebates are given beyond that, your extra $4800 off the MSRP ain't happening. (idhitit)

Don't be mad because you weren't able to negotiate a great deal like some of us...
I believe that 8k is possible on a new '09 GT -- just not in my metro region. Believe me I tried for 2 months. The closest I got was $7500 off MSRP over Memorial weekend. If I added in the $500 coupon then I technically would have gotten to $8k. Currently the regional dealers are back to $6.5k off. And they are no haggle dealers. Some of you guys are pretty lucky.
Maybe it's regional maybe it's bull. I tend to agree with mr. 9 on this. Getting 8K off an 09' GT AWD loaded is a stretch and 10K off is really unbelievable. The best a good friend of mine was able to get on a 09' GT AWD/Bose/Navi/Assist was 34.5 (MSRP 41k) this past weekend. Keep in mind this is from a large dealer here in the Wash DC area. My friend walked and they stood firm on the price and even called the next day to reaffirm.

I Have Been Shopping Tough for 4 Days. I Live in Seattle, WA.
My Best Deal was thru the "Costco Auto Buyer" Program. I was Blown away when I got the Costco Quote! I could have saved 3 days of shopping online and on the phone.
I am getting a Black on Black Leather 2009 CX-9 Grand Touring with the GT Assist Navigation Pkg, DVD Entertainment, Bose Speakers, Tow Package, Loaded!
MSRP: $41,405
INVOICE: $37,359
I am Paying: $34,109
I also found the exact same car i list above that was a demo with 4550 miles. i got them down to $33,500. But it was in Oregon about 6 hours round trip away and it has 4550 miles on it. I want that Brand New Smell
This is the best I could do in the NW after a few days of shopping. There are some 2008 left that have great rebates.
I also can add that it seems better to buy during the week, not on weekends. Also, New Rebates and New Inventory are constantly becoming available. As the 2010 become available and the 2008 inventory goes away the 2009 will see more rebates. Also ask about "Dealer Cash" when trying to save a few hundred more.

I am not upset that I did not get 8k of MSRP on a 2009 GT AWD because I don't believe anyone else has either unless the following was part of the deal:
1. rebates
2. employee pricing
3. trade in
4. demo
5. lease
6. or any other price reducing feature
I would easily reverse my thoughts if proof popped up but until then, I call bull (bolt)

People are constantly asking for pricing feedback and when those of us who got great deals tell you what we paid you don't believe us?
I posted what I got off of MSRP to HELP those of you shopping get a better deal. If you don't believe me that is your prerogative but if you think I am going to take the time to redact and scan my bill of sale to prove it...you're smoking grass.

If you read The-9 post again, he said $8k off MSRP WITHOUT any rebates. I think his statement is true. Those who bought loaded GT and paid around $31-$33k, received some incentives (rebates, cash back etc.) from Mazda. Or the dealer might have jacked up your interest by a point or so.
Also, keep in mind loaded GT could mean a lot of things. It could vary from a $40k MSRP to around $44k MSRP. Some might have gotten the Bose, Nav, Assist and call it loaded. There's still the towing, RSES, Sirius, remote start, accessories (allweather mats, roof rack, etc.)
Granted I bought in Sept 2008, my "loaded" 08 GT MSRP was around $42k, and I got it for a little less than $32k before TTL. I did get employee pricing, official Mazda rebate, official S-Plan rebate, and an extra $600 (??) to make up my mind.
So, I can believe someone can buy an 09 for $8k off MSRP.
Yeah I agree. You may have gotten a rebate and not known it. The dealer wants you to think they're giving you an unbelievable deal so they don't mention that part of the savings is coming direct from Mazda. $8K off is definitely doable as I got about 7K off my touring model at this time last year (with rebate). I'm just agreeing that a rebate would come into play.
And last fall my local dealer was giving 10K off of GT models and advertised these prices in email marketing. I was a little pissed at myself for not waiting a few months. I could've gotten a GT for the price I paid for my Touring.

New to the site: I'm in the market for Touring with the Moon Package. I live and play on Long Island, N.Y. The best quote I get with for $29,425.00 plus taxes and reg, title. Plus I also have the Preferred Buyer's car ($500), which would make it $28,975. What do you guys think about this deal. (Deal or No Deal)
FWD or AWD? About $1400 difference in MSRP pricing there. I would imagine you'll want AWD coz' of snow.
