Protege High Mileage Club

Slightly off topic but, my mom hit 15,000 in her 07 jeep grand cherokee :D That's what a 4 mile rount trip to work equates to... Cant wait till I can sign myself up here... I need a P5 first! :S

If she keeps up the ~3k a year mark, in around 50 years she'll be at 165k i think...

clement the car looks great, but your coils are installed wrong in the pics. the camber plates need to be turned 90deg so that they can be used properly.

Don't worry I know that detail. But I already have camber bolts down there, and on these cars you can not adjust the caster. So by turning my camber plates 90 I now have caster plates that I can adjust a little more than OEM specs so steering is slightly stiffer at low speed but much more stable at high speeds.

I think I'm gonna get myself another camber bolt kit to have 2 at the rear, so I'm gonna have a little more available camber.

Mine just passed 111k and runs with no issues - but I just listed it on Craigslist so I can buy a truck, so I wont see it go much further. FWIW - I don't have any mods on it either, only a boost guage has been added to it.

'02 LX purchased '10 with 78k, currently has 119k +. Only issues, broke alt belt at 90k then again at 100k. Still haven't done Tbelt yet hopefully get it done before winter hits. Replaced sway bars at around 110k. As most of you said still starts on the first try.

I forgot about this thread...03 ES bought new, just turned 201300 beautiful oil-burning miles.

Im around 170,000 miles right now. I moved to 10-30 synthetic and added this engine treatment I have used before. I also got a catch can to see how much oil I lose by blow by. In 1000 miles I have used less than 1 oz thru blow by and I cant detect any burning. Can recall the name of the stuff I think it is Engine Restorer or something. It comes in 4,6,8 cylinder sized containerformulas. It is like a blue color fluid.. Checking the dipstick shows no loss.
