Protege Door Panels

Ok I think I want to vinyl/fabric paint the material insert on all four interior door panels. Black to match my nice newly fabric/vinyl painted headliner.

Any other suggestions?
Got pics of other customized protege door panels?
Anything on the topic of Protege door panels?

interesting, I've been considering this for a while. I also have my headliner painted and the door panels would top it off.

Oh actually good idea I think I will.
I'll post pics & notes of the process and as a bonus toss in the headliner experince & pics.

My only concern is that like the headliner the fabric/vinyl paint will make the door fabric feel stiff and rough.

very true, although I rarely touch it as means to rest on. I really do hate how faded its become.

maybe it will soften up over time?

The more thought I gave the less I case about the texture haha I'm just anxious to do it now.
Yes, I think you're right it will probably soften in the areas it is touched/rubbed often.

I used fabric spray on my door panels of my 99 Protege to match the MSP seats I installed better than the plain grey it originally was. I turned out much better than I expected actually.

It is a bit hard, but nothing major. Make sure you go with light sprays, and clean up all oversprays ASAP.
