Well I still got about a month.... I gotta get to my 2500 down payment goal... :D I got about 1050... I should have the rest around the 25th.

 Should I keep the SVX:confused:

That is totally your call. People can't help you decide how much you value your SVX, if you can bare the load of 2 insurance payments, 2 car taxes, to inspection tags, 2 plates, and so on. Also if you are in college do you have a place to store 2 cars? Some people don't while in school.

You could have a ton of fun with the MSP as a second car (a.k.a. a toy). You could tune the crap out of it and if you ever make a dreaded bo-bo you can take your time to rebuild because you can use your SVX as your mule.

Hmmm...the SVX is a good sports car. Keep it and put some money into it when you have a chance.....if you can afford to keep it. That SVX was only produced for a couple of years....if I'm not mistaken. It's a great car, just bad timing. For a college kid, you sure do have some pretty deep pockets. Are you working somewhere? Anyway, the SVX, keep it an tune it when you're done with school....it'll be a hot tuner machine.

If you all only knew how hard I was working... I work 40 hours a week at this summer job and then as soon as I get off I powerwash houses and mow lawns. I have even painted fences. I'm so focused... you all would be so proud of me.

To be honest with you the SVX isnt running right now... it has transmission problems but my mom is fixing it. I also have my broken down MX-6... What do you all think I should do with that?

Trade in SVX. I voted for Blue - although, I'd suggest a black one, since you'll get a lower price as everyone has mentioned. just my $.02.:D

haggling is easy..

i got them down to invoice on the phone, 18013 at the dealership. that is 20100 out the door. whoever says haggling isnt possible..no.

I agree, that is the price that I was quoted on the titanium gray 2003.5 that I will be taking. BTW, I'm putting $7000 down, dunno how much that really sways the dealer, but it sure helps my monthly payments.

Mazda just put $1500 cash back rebate on the Mazdaspeed. Go find your best deal and then close on it before the rebate goes away.

Log on to www.edmunds.com and read about how to purchase new cars. I used the internet to get quotes and it worked much easier for me because they knew I was emailing a bunch of other dealers around the state. Sure cut through the bull without ever leaving my comfy chair! :)

well to be honest with you guys, I'm thinking about not getting one anymore...

Deep down I really really want one but I keep hearing about this turbo lag and steering going out. People are already selling them and s*** on this site. As well as faulty service from people's dealers and the BLASPHEMOUS fact that I just realized you can't get a sunroof?!?!

Why can you not get a sunroof... regular proteges have them. It makes no damn sense. God they are so beautiful though... maybe you guys can turn me around...

I hope you all can... I was really sold on them til I read the forum.

don't let the people that buy this car w/no real idea what they are dealing with, make you not want one. It's like buying a RX-7 and not knowing the car has a engine with rotors in it.
