Problem with me cigarette dash :(

Hello!

My name is Geeky Ninja I'm from the land down under in South Australia.

(Can anyone help this damsel in distress?)

As you can see there was an incident with an iphone radio/charger connection. When I plugged it in and removed it (with little force) the whole thing popped out. It does not easily pop back in as its come out and raised a little. After going to Mazda they wanted to tell me it wasn't covered in my warranty :) (nice!)

I love my mazda 3 maxx sport, hatch (2007) can anyone help or give me some advice? Im very happy to go "hands on".

That piece is held in by two screws and the clips you see. With a little shimmy and force you should be able to get it lined up. Otherwise to take the console apart is easy. Remove everything from the cup holder area. Then just pull straight up, a quick tug on the cup holder lid is all it ever took to remove mine. You'll have to wiggle it around the brake handle. Take the shifter knob off. Then just pull up on the surround and it should come up like the cup holder. Remove the two phillips screws where the ashtray was then realign and push it back in. Put it back together. Done.

I have followed both of your instructions with many thanks to Sport 6 for the thumbnails! It worked a treat and I just saved a couple of hundred dollars! "Not covered in warranty" Mazda service department are such crooks!

Thanks so much guys I really appreciate it!!!
