Post recent pictures of your Mazda!

Thanks man. Actually I have ms and disc degeneration to the point that I use a cane or my rolling walker where ever I try to go. The handicap plates are unfortunately needed. Still it keeps the car away from door dings when I do venture out. :)

This is actually the only car I can drive. It has the tenzo rally seats that are horizontally sprung which absorb bumps. A custom 8 point team tech jet pilot harness with integrated lumbar (although I use a lumbar pillow with it as well), made to my waist, height, and thigh measurements. The seat was lowered, and the steering wheel extended 5" closer to the driver to get the perfect position for me to drive in. Lastly I repositioned the pedal heights/angles for ease of heal toe. I have been told I look like I getting ready to go to space, when I am really going to the gas station for cigarettes. lol

I'd love to see pictures of you all suited up and ready to go out if you are okay with posting a few. I think it is totally awesome that you don't let your condition stop you from driving your probe and making it kick ass.

Thanks man, it means allot when people appreciate it. My dream from childhood was to own a custom race car, and I have never given that up. I will have to work on pics of me in the car. I live on my own, so will have to get a friend to shoot a couple the next time I get a visitor. But I will get some with me all suited up in my race suit/helmet with the walker in the background for laughs. :)

LOL (the last line) and WOW!! Props to you for still doin' it!!

How often do you race the car and where (for our Illinois based members? It would be a little far personally for me to travel.)

I actually think the car won't make it back on the track this season. I was able to do two track days early this summer, but then moved to a new apt. which killed my budget. I actually haven't personally driven the car on the track this year. I have had two drivers I sponsored (entrance/vehicle/driver safety equipment) on two different lapping days. I spent those days focusing on vehicle set up, as well as their driving technique. It's a balance between setting up the car to handle the way they want (with a give and take here and there as you can't have it all), and coaching their driving styles to match the track/car. Although in all honesty the first day was focused upon the engine performance, and the second on the suspension/brakes... My favorite track is Blackhawk Farms Speedway. There is another track within a couple hours called Autobahn Country Club, but Blackhawk is only 12 miles from my apt...

edit: I use a Traqmate GPS datalogging system mated to a chase cam to monitor what my drivers are doing on the track. Here's a pic of my guage cluster;

Also here's an onboard video from one of those track days. The susp was very tight, with hard turn in and no rear slide on that run. The driver also had express instructions not to blow up the engine. So you will see him get up to speed, and cruise from there...

^^ I want to see that video you were shooting!
Ditto. Wish I could go crazy with mine.

Old pics.
Looks like your set up is a bit more comfortable. Better lighting, stereo, and very cool race car posters. I dig it! :)

Keeping on topic, another recent pic...

Thanks. If it was my place it would be fully insulated and dry walled. Then I would clean it all up a ton. I'm really not a huge fan of clutter, it's just I have no place to put everything.
