Popping from front end of MSP

When I come up to a stop sign or a slow right turn I can feel and hear a pop from the front of the car. I have my snow tires and steelies on but they are okay clearance wise. Has anyone else had this? Or know what it is? Front Sway bar bushing??

popping during mornings

I noticed a distinct pop (like someone bouncing a kickball really hard) in the mornings when its cold when first reversing. Do you have this? Does anyone else have it?

p.s. it's got all aftermarket suspension...it's supposed to be noisy...noisy and loud means its fastAr.

i have both of those problems. don't notice the first mentioned that much. but the reversing thing is the rear clunk. it sounds like your rear end is going to fall off. it quit when i had the bushings replaced but its back now cause i dont have the e bushings, but the e's will probably go bad also.

Mine does that sometimes if it is very cold out and I am backing out of a parking spot and forced to turn the wheel past a certain point. (not dry steering always moving just not as much as I'd like to be moving)

It is a harsh gut wrenching noise and I hate it, but I don't think it is hurting anything just the tight suspension not wanting to move in the super cold. Just don't dry steer ever and esp. in cold weather.

Mine does it in VERY cold weather. I REALLY think it's the LSD. Whenever it's cold outside, and I first get going the car feels like it has flat spots on the tires.... bump bump bump bump for the first minute and then it goes away.

It has to be the LSD not liking cold weather

Funny: that's your tires. The Bridgestones get flat spots overnight in cold weather. Driving and heating them up evens it all out.

well i get a nice popng sound when i turn my wheel and the car is sittin....dunno if its the steering rack or maybe the suspension....doesnt seem to cause any trouble

The noise from backing out or makeing turns in the cold are just your stock potenza's , most performance tires do this, you just have to take it easy till they soften up a little..

Are you hearing the brake calipers seized onto the rotors?

It seems to be a common issue.. Seized may not be the right word.. more like rusted onto the rotors....

It's common... w/ wet brakes when parking...

no, mine happens whether it's cold or warm, wet or dry, and moving. Sometimes when I am slowing down to a stop while going straight, most of the time when turning right. I am running my snow tires, so I know it's not the potenzas. And the fact that I am moving when it happens pretty much rules out the rotor seizing effect.

I also have a pretty wicked shudder in the clutch when I shift into 4th gear at a certain speed. ~ 45-50mph

Yes - I have the same issue, but only when reversing for the first time.

I also get the weird noise when I reverse and turn.

Also tires feel flatspotted for the first minute or so of driving in the cold. But now I have snows so no more flatspot. (nana)

I have the same popping noise coming from my front end. Happens at low speed turns left/right, also when coming to a slow stop. Doesn't do it all the time, but enough to be noticed by me.

Anybody figure out the source of the noise?

BTW Stock MSP suspension: noise started about 14,000 miles, right now have 15,700 miles on it.

WTF?? my issue has been going on for about 2 weeks now and is getting louder and more frequent. just a loud intermittant popping/raddling noise coming from the front end. i have no idea wheather it's suspension, sway bar, exhaust raddling, something that just came loose after i installed my awr front mm. i have no freaking idea. and i'm a little apprehensive about taking it to the dealership. if it's a suspension issue i might get told it's because of my goldlines, exhaust issue will be my apex dp, my excessive raddling due to my front mm and hardpipes. so should i even bother taking it to the dealership???? it still may by something with the swaybar or tranny or something else i didn't touch. anyway, please advise

my tires do this also. I thought at first i bent a rim but i've noticed it goes away after driving so i figured it did this in the cold weather.

I also had the clunking sound while sitting for awhile during the cold with only 396miles.Dealer changed rack but i later found it was the tilt column not being properly locked into position.
