Ok I am trying to install my AWR front motor mount its super simple. I got the bottom two bolts out no prob but then I got to the bolt that goes through the mount and I cannot GET it if my life depended on it. Ive been outside for about an hr now trying to get this one damn bolt and I just now somehow stripped the bolt and broke my rachet. I was trying to use a holl0ow steel pipe to get more leverage and came out with a broken rachet and stripped bolt. Now I dont know what to do. am i screwed. how do I get this damn bolt off. also noticed that my front mount is schredded already and I only have 6,000 miles on my car. any help suggestions would be great at this point.

and i thought it's better to losen the top screw b4 going under the car??

i just used my torque wrench and set it to 150lb. :)

air ratchet would work...I would have loosened the one on top first like before said, so that you avoid putting stress on that last bolt when you're trying to pull it off. Just remember anytime you have multiple bolts loosen them but don't remove them completely...then take them off one by one..

wish i had an air ratchet. So any suggestions? Shoudl I tighten the bottom two bolts back on then try on the other bolt first.

Air Ratchet pwns you. Use a 17mm IMPACT socket to avoid breaking the socket, an IMPACT 1/2" drive swivel, and an IMPACT 3/8" drive 6" extension. Take the plastic guard out from under the car and zap the nut off. Make sure you have at least 80 lbs of pressure in your air compressor to make it bite right of the bat. If it is stripped too much get your dremel out. Get a Sears Card...and a second job.

well actually its not stripped too bad. I just got a regular wrench on it right now and its holding in there tight but damnit I still cant get it. I just jacked the motor up slightly to releieve stress from the mounts to get them out and nothing. WONT BUDGE. Man this just sucks. I wish I had an air compressor

try harder.
it will come off... hell use your feet if you have to push on it.. but it will come off. i promise.

I don't know how much it will help, but soak it with PB Blaster or WD-40, let it sit 10 minutes and then give it another try.

ok just to make sure im not an idiot if Im standing over top of the engine bay I am pulling up on the wrench correct. Counterclockwise. Correct?

alright now im really pissed. its been like 2 hrs now of non stop trying to get this one ****** nut loose. i really dont have a clue. Ive tried everything i got. i think im just gonnna give up and kill somebvody

Did you retighten the bottom bolts that secure the mount to the car? If so, get a breaker bar... it came right off for me.
