i got the blacklit numbers anyone know if they sell a different faceplate for that so they light amber?
I did wire mine to the dimmer. I spliced into the wires near the dimmer unit. There are 3 wires. One is black. The other two are blue and green (with white stripes if I remember, anyway just use the 2 that aren't black. I don't use the dimmer much myself but if I do, now it works.

(pow) bah this is my home....RazorP5 said:Sorry to be a pain in the ass mod, but we are trying to clean up all the forums to make it easier to search for items, and less cluttered. In the future, please post in the appropriate forum...example - Intakes, dispite being for the Mazdaspeed, belong in the performance section. Buying a carbon fiber hood for your Mazdaspeed belongs in the Appearance section. If you raced someone in your Mazdaspeed it still belongs in the Racing/Motorsports section. If you have any questions, comments, or complaints, feel free to PM me at any time.
Thanks again for your patience as we clear up the forums to make it better for you!

As for other advise,
When hooking up the illumination, take the panel on the side of the dash off to expose the wiring for the dimmer switch. Then hook into the wires as desribed below.
You'll need to hook your illumination wire to one of these and your ground wire to the other.
As far as 12V and Accesory, I don't remember where I spliced into...just get a volt meter and start taking reading off the wiring harnesses.
Good luck
