3 months wait, not too bad..

Easier transmission to work than the 04 GTI, although I do plan to replace the shifter. Still, not really anything to complain about..

One pic for now

So i hear now...silver is the fastest car out there...it may be because the weight of the paint is lighter and cuts through the wind at 60mph and up better than any other color...i wouldn't want to race you Good Choice

you don't sound so enthusiastic

He's only had it for a day or two. Just wait, soon enough he'll be finding as many excuses as he can to take the long way everywhere. Like tonight when it took me an hour just to get fast food for dinner.

Yes, welcome to our little insane asylum. My wife (jailer) is calling me to breakfast. I have to go now. Goodbye. I'll see you when I get out on parole.

welcome man looks good in silver!! Where in CT are you from?

Which dealership did ya order it from? Looking for info on the experience with particular dealers in CT.

Not to hijack the thread, but just got a call from a local one-price dealer in Twin Cities MN....MS3's are now $1500 off MSRP. This particular dealership has 4 GT's onthe lot that haven't moved in awhile. S-Plan authorization may be coming very soon, unless Mazda decides to wait until the Spring to find out if business picks up.

Congrats to CH77! Your car looks sharp!

Congrats to CH77! Your car looks sharp!

I tried telling my dealer that'd happen and he swore up and down it wont. Wonder if thats going on out here.

Thanks all, for the replies.. I'm from Meriden/Wallingford. I love the new car! It's plenty fast enough for me, although when it's out of warranty, that might not be true anymore. The shifter could use better bushings or just replacement, but I don't have any money for that yet - must save up for better door speakers.

I'm only on here about once a week, but I do kill about an hour's worth of time looking for any and all info I can re: issues, aftermarket parts development, check engine lights, etc. - so if you ask me a question and I don't get back to you right away, that's why.

Yes, I now take the long way anywhere if there's nice alternate roads. But we did the same thing in our 2004 GTI - 20,000 miles in one year, eek..

Also true is, don't try to race the lighter, faster, more aerodynamic silver MS3s you see! Silver means fast, everyone knows that. I am not into street racing anyway, but I have got to slow down. Must slow down. Don't wear out the brakes just yet. Speed Limit 45 does not mean "See if you can hit 90, come on.."

Anyway, this post seems directionless and rambling, so I'll stop..

Town & Country auto sales, in Middletown. MSRP paid, straightforward enough folks to deal with. I bought mine through the inventory manager, but was prepared to get the car sight unseen and start driving it right when it came in. Took a good chunk out of my checking account, but I don't regret it!!

Easy to drive in the ice & snow as well, I must say. But I did originally learn to drive on a 4-speed manual in the middle of the winter - with good instruction.

I just want to keep driving it.
