any new info? I don't mean to sound pushy, seeing as you have the loss of one of your cars and all, but I was wondering if you are almost complete and when can we see some more pics?

Hello all again and welcome to another addition to our project P5.
It is now official, the entire engine is together and ready for the trans to be bolted on.
We had some issues with the exhaust down pipe though. It seems that this T3 housing is not your standard "ford" housing. It was conciderably larger.. since we are running an internal wastegate, the swing housing that incorporates the flapper for the gate opening was an odd size. We were contiplating making a weld flange for the downpipe but there isnt the time and decided to go another route. We have a spare Standard ford housing from a merkur laying around with the stage 1 wheel. Were going to change turbine housings and use the ford swing assembly which already incorporates an O2 bung for the stock sensor. From there the exhaust can be fabricated and installed.
The T3T4 hybrid bolts up nicely to the flyn protege manifold. No need to shim the inlet to fit the compressor. It clears the EGR tube by a couple of inches.
After the tranny bolt on monday we will drop the entire assembly into the car . From there the exhaust will be fabricated and intercooler placement along with piping.
MAF is in and needs calibrating while the car is running.
Im am very excited, this little beast will be breathing again soon.
Just to clarify a couple things, i am running a stock tranny right now. I want to get it on the road being that im driving a focus rental right now because of the mazda 6 demise. We will run and tune for 300 hp at first. The spare trans with quaiffe differential, shot peened shift forks and additional synchros WILL NOT be installed in time for the dyno run. As long as things are tuned properly 300 hp is no problem . Driving habits will need to adapt and make drivability a key issue. I need to do this in steps until some better luck comes our way.
Any way with 300 hp and a properly tuned module the kit will become a reality. Especially for those who have stock internals and want modest boost levels without going all out like we have.
The stage 2 kit will be out when the other tranny is in and we hit close to 475hp, custom axles, hubs, internal gear upgrades including titanium gears. We will offer a complete racing kit which will include everything i have mentioned and more. We will prove that drivability and 400 hp daily driver is POSSIBLE and not a dream.
Any way i have many pics along with some kooldino took and posted in another thread. I will post some soon. Time to spend some time with the hunnies before i spend my nights alone on the couch ;)

Hey:

I think i need the pistons and rods already!
What did you do to order the pistons, sending specs or stock piston? will I just have to wait until they produce them?, how much time?
