I was hoping someone could do a little photoshop work for me.

I'm trying to mod a stock grill into something that looks good, and would like to see what a finished product might look like on the car.

Here's a picture of someone's Black P5, straight on, from the front. My apologies/thanks to the original photographer, I don't have a head-on shot of my car.

And here's a crap MS Paint version of what I'm trying to do, only half way done:

What I'm thinking of is cutting away the stock grill material, and putting a finer mesh behind it, but leaving a horizontal "bar" of the original mesh across the middle. The bar would be two diamonds high at it's highest, if that makes any sense at all.

It would be kind of like this grill, with the stock black grill material in place of the silver bar:

Thanks, all!

Thought I'd bump this up, 7 months later, see if someone would take a shot at it for me.

Something like these? Lemme know if that's what you're lookin for or if you want the "flying M" removed too

The second one I also did the lower grill.

Only prob is it won't be straight black. You'll see the hood release and all kinds good stuff behind that.

Well, I appreciate the effort, but the idea was to leave some of the original diamond across the middle, and if possible, make it look like a smaller mesh behind it.

took me about 4 times of reading it to figure out what you wanted, but I think I got it... give me a few minutes

hmm, I did the photoshop but it doesn't really look like anything

honestly I don't think the grille would look good with zig zag cut edges

Hmm... could you supply the grill pattern? I got this generic GTO grill pattern... Doesn't seem to match... LOL the lines look crooked but it didn't help that the picture was tilted to begin with... trust me there straight i just used a rectangular selcect so the lines are straight... i think the problem is the picture is crooked tried to make it straight but don't know how to get the guidelines in photoshop.

EDIT: nvm figured out how to get the guide lines... its pretty lined up... but like i said the grill pattern sucks.

Ok, sorry. The description was bad. I recreated the idea in MSPaint.

So, yeah, anyway, the idea is that the bright blue area should be tight mesh, with the part of the original grill as I put it in this pic. Thanks! :D

It's probably a crap idea, but thanks for the help!

isn't that what i did? LOL... but if you got a picture of the mesh material you had in mind i could easily put it in there cuz i saved the selections to stamp it in.

Actually, yes. That's what you did. I was responding to the earlier attempts. ;)

Lemme see if i can come up with a good mesh!

Tick Tock Times a running out... I start class soon... I tried to upload the *.psd file but it too big... that way you could just ctrl+a the grill part and stamp your own in there... Really not to hard... If not i'll save it and give it another shot if no one else pulls through...

EDIT: dang you want the zig zags in there to... Now that's gonna take a while cuz i think we have to blow up the picture to just show the grill in sections thats is cuz that's some fine tuning there. I just went straight across... LOL but you can't tell from the picture cuz it's kinda small... but if you blow it up ? i'll save your idea and work on it later... Its still fairly simple just takes some time, steady hands, and some nerve.

Yeah, i'm not gifted enough with photoshop to do what you're asking so, I'll leave it to the other guys. Sorry, I tried
