PG Turbo Inlet

So i finally found the time to do a review on the PG inlet for us Speed 6 guys.

I will say that at first i was afraid that the Inlet wouldnt work so good and didnt know if the " whole stainless steel " thing was going to work out with fitment and stuff but it proved me wrong.

I myself as a person love new parts over used parts and knowing that this inlet is about $70 to 100$ less then some other inlets out there in the market which is just an amazing thing.

I did some 3rd to 4th gear redline pulls and the car is so much more smoother through out the power band then it was before. I feel like my stock BPV got louder and you def will not be able to get your foot off the gas after this install..
Short and simple

Once again i would like to thank Ken at PG for this great product and for coming out to my house lol (friday)

So if your stock or dont have an inlet, i suggest you order one because things will just be so much better with it (headbang)

if you got any questions.. feel free to ask

i did my turbo inlet with my tmic..it was a very easy install. i took the battery and battery tray out and i had the tmic off already so at most i spent 20 minutes on it. you really realize how loose the stock turbo inlet is. i have a stainless steel turbo inlet and i love it. it creates such an amazing sound when boosting and growls when hitting low boost...my car sounds like a jet taking off on a run way.my wife and i both love the sound of it. if only PG had made these earlier i would of purchased one cause i think i spent double on mine lol..oh well

also it looks nice on my car cause i have the polished aem cold air intake in the same color..so its one solid pipe running to the turbo

idk i had an easy time with it...hardest thing for me was getting those damn su hoses to work with my intercooler ...lol but having the intercooler off and the battery out made it very easy for me....coyfish....you need it lol

well.. i did it without an install guide. Ken was very helpful when i picked it up from him and told me that if had any questions to text him which i did end up doing. I also spoke to THE DOC and he told me to look at it from the point of view of the person that made it so thats what i did. I can say it did take me a while to do this because there are very hard spots to reach just like BOVA mentioned in his write-up. When you get to ur stock inlet, it will be very hard for you to get a screw driver down there to loosen the clips. DOnt even bother because i ended up moving my stock inlet back and forth and it just slid off. I guess that explains why the stock one is so bad since i just slid it off basically.(bad)

but yea that was about it. Nothing hard just tough places to reach too since the turbo is all the way behind the engine

One more note to people that gets it, DON'T DO THIS WHEN IT GETS DARK OUT. Make sure there is plenty of light in your garage or if you are outside do it when its in the day. My worklight broke so that made it harder to put back everything. Ok end of rant.

yeah my stocker just slide right off as well. kinda scary i guess. what else on the car could just slide right off.

Mine did as well when I had the Corksport Full Length. This is super bad as it means we're getting unregistered ambient air into the turbo. Will it blow it up, probably not, but it definitely isn't a good thing.

def isn't. Mazda did a very poor job on the quality and reliability of our cars(smash)

thats what i wanna know too

Boy, I really want one of these things, but I'd hate having to take it off everytime I need warranty work

so far my my dealer hasnt said anything about my Intake.

Im going to get an oil change from them in about 2 weeks with a new BOV and the PG inlet and we will see what they say.

They can only void your warranty if they find out that the problem was caused by the inlet or if you do have a problem just take it off. They wont void your warranty if they see it unless they see that u ****** with the ecu or the changed the turbo. Call em up (anonymous) and ask if they mind minor mods(thumb)

plus you got all this exhaust work done.. so you should worry unless u take of ur cbe and TP when you go for dealer visits

do you take off the cobb SRI for warranty work?

Ha, I actually need to update my mods in the signature. I don't own the SRI anymore, went with the Mazdaspeed CAI, and I haven't put the TP back on in some time (cause I've been taking it off for warranty work). Kept the Magnaflow system on though..

But my turbo started smoking so slightly, and I'll want to fight and get that replaced soon. If I do that, I'd need to take off the TIP. Just a timing thing I guess..
