PG Turbo Inlet

i took my car into the dealer for a oil change and for them to look at a squeaky noise my car was making and they told me it was from my Test Pipe so i just said oh alright then he walked me to the service counter and told me to put loctite on the screws to keep them from vibrating and making the noise and that was that...... has anyone else heard of doing that?

loctite on an exhaust part? would probably melt off.

i finally got around to putting the inlet pipe on and OH SHIZZLE GIZZEN GAR! what a change in the car's overall feel. everything, i mean, everything that has been stated about this piece is true. easy install, great quality, price and so on. i'll post up pics when the wife and kids get back from vacation, they have the camera.

stock inlet is crap and it slid right off for me as well. and a big WTF to mazda for the stock inlet pipe design!

Boy, I really want one of these things, but I'd hate having to take it off everytime I need warranty work

if you got the black powder coated TIP and the dealer was doing work on the car i honestly cant imagine they would notice it...

that is true

you can hardly see it

yep between the location of the TIP and the same color as the stock TIP i dont think you would need to take it off for dealer work...unless the technician owned a stock speed6 and decided to take it for a test drive (drive)

Is the small rubber coupler that comes with the inlet supposed to go on the turbo side of the inlet or on the air intake side of the inlet? im sure ill figure it out when i start working on it, just curious...thanks

Turbo side... to make things easier.. make sure you put the coupler on the turbo first then Inlet then Intake..

Thanks amilliem, thats exactly what i did, still was difficult to fit it in there though, it really is a tight space to work in, just finished the install :)....thanks Ken for a great piece as well im very happy with it

hmm amilliem you said your stock bpv got louder w the inlet? my forge is significantly less loud.. :/ i hope i have no leaks... i wonder why that is...

Yup anytime man. That's why i made this thread so people know that this is a great product and to ask any questions they have so guys like me, ken, you, the doc, and whoever else on here has installed this product can answer questions to anyone on here about quality and installation.

what are your mods? idk cuz i talked to palerider and he said that it should get quieter.. but im not sure.. i only had my stock BPV on for couple of days and then i put in my 1g dsm BOV..but i dont think anything is wrong with your car. I think i just didnt explain it well enough. I prolly felt like it got louder cuz of the quicker turbo spool. If you passed the 100 mile mark on the new inlet.. Take it in to WOT and im sure you will be happy with the results.. It has almost been atleast 2 or so weeks after i got it and i have still not been able to keep my foot of the gas.

Take it into WOT and if you feel powa... then everything is alll good but if not then check everything and make sure you clamped everything right.

Just make sure you clean the inside of your PG inlet if it come like this, remember that your turbo will suck all this dirt and you don't want that

I have a cobb sri and a forge bpv. I checked everything again and its all secure. Im sure theres nothing wrong jusst thought it was strange how your bpv got louder and mine quieter. Its working great though, i can hear the turbo spool up faster even when im driving calmly. Its so hard not to drive the car hard for a 100 miles though, i just love seeiing what it can do. i might just go drive around until i get my 100 miles on the ecu lol. thanks again.

yikes i didnt even look inside mine before i installed it...o well im sure itll be ok
