Look at kooldino's supporting mods. Im talkin about the unit itself!!!!!!!!!

I get ALL of the work above for 1000, ok lets get this clear for the last time guys. All of the work.

The MPI ALONE Is $799 and without any supporting Mods, its good for 8psi. Is this clearer for you?????

Here this will help:

This is ghost. I wanted to know how much the MPI is. Im ready to buy an engine system for my turbo, and Im kinda pricing around. Can you please help?
Hello Mr Ghost P5, how are things going?

The cost for our MPI Tuner and Turbo module is $795.00. It comes complete with everything you need to install and tune for upto 8 psi.

Please let me now if you have any questions at all.

Thanks agian

Now this means ill be able to get 10-12psi for about 1000, ok guys. Nicks unit is 795 for only 8psi.

Now If I get internals, add 1300 to the 1000. Then Ill be able to boost as much as Dino, amybe more sisnce I will have 2 extra injectors, and a 3 bar Map sensor to run them. Dino runs his extra with the stock MAF. Now hes at his limit.

i'm just waiting for the results...it's really interesting to see the EMS category for the protege explode. also, you guys are using different options, so thanks in advance for helping out the protege community.

Do not piss the Ghost off. you will not like it...nor will I! (eek2)

LOL!!!!! Im not pissed man, Im just frustrated that I cant explain things better.

I understand....Im with you and hope you the best. Im just worried about the issues MPNick had before with the STM6 and his evolution and releases with some modifications to make it work for the proteges.

Hey...he told you 8psi with the stock injectors ALONE...thats fine, I wouldnt go over that, I was boosting 11-12psi on my stock injectors, and I did blow my engine but It was because I was leaning out the A/F and kaboom, I was running too lean, but I was running fine until messing with the vortech and dropping it from 12:1 to 8:1. Plus my engine had already 2 previous rebuilds not done from professionals.

One thing is very important...10-12psi is the limit for safe boost on a T3.

My rods twisted like a screw and bent and the engine blew @ 11psi.

Hope to see you soon with the SMT on the road.

$1300 for rods and pistons. Plus $300 for gaskets, then any machine work, etc etc.

Nope, I'm running a MAP sensor as well. Probably the same one you're getting. And yeah, I have 2 480cc extra injectors. You'll still run into the MAF limit like me though. The MAF limit is causing a problem with the stock ECU, NOT the MPI tuner. My MPI tuner does not know that my stock MAF exsists.

Thanks for the clarification Dino!!!

Dinospeed is using the 80mm mass air with his car, that's how he can make the big power. The 8psi is the "safe" point on the stock injectors, you can go higher with additional fuel.

It does sound like a good deal for all that you are getting, just be carefull with the SMT-6, it does not have the same features as the MPI, so you will run into some small issues with it at first. If your guy can fix them then great, I wish you luck. The unit is a good product and when you get it goin, it will be a lot better than that damn FMU!! Don't let people get to ya, it's your car, I think it's great that people are exploring many different EMS's. That adds to the communities knowledge.

Ok guys, car goes on the knife next Thursday. I hope to have some good news for you.

I just wanted to update.

why are you guys saying go with extra injectors???? That extra wiring, if they are not placed right they might pooling in the intake maniflold, etc.

I would just get larger injectors. Is it that these units cant control them??? Just curious and wanted to learn. about other mazda cars.

(standalone turbo'd miata)

it can...but remember, our stock injectors are slow...so, real good tunning is required to run the car smooth

I have no extra injectors, and I am running like 5 PSI right now. Acidbbg is running about 11 PSI right now without extra injectors on the MPI Tuner. Hopefully in a couple of days I will be running 12 PSI!!

what do you mean slow?

and the whole point would be that you would get larger injectors not use the stock ones.
