Passenger Side Mirror

Hey Everyone

Just wondering if anyone knows where I can get my hands on a passenger side mirror - some dumb a$$ cracked my mirror on the weekend and now I'm looking for a replacement.

The dealer says I need to replace the entire unit for a ripe cost of $161 CDN plus taxes.

When I only need the mirror, it seems a waste to buy the whole mirror assembly.

Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

My first thought was "that sounds cheap".

I know there is an on-line dealer that sells parts for less than local dealers. Must be a site sponsor. I bought a bunch of extras from there.

Your Mirror Glass pops right out and pop a new mirror right in. Do you have a GT... if so you will have to solder two wires to the heater element on the mirror glass. New Replacement Glass Mirror about 30 buxs canadian

Yep - Got the passenger side mirror - only.

Cost 40 bux CDN including all our lovely taxes.

Installed real easy - didn't solder the contacts because the original wasn't - we'll see how this goes.

Mike if you have a GT and the wires where not soldered they should of been as you have heated mirrors on your 5. The GS did not have heated mirrors hence not solder points.

The two purple wires are for the heat element and they are dummy proof ..i.e doesn't matter what wire goes on which side of solder points.
