Hello,
I have a '97 Protege DX 1.5L (5-speed standard) that is pushing 211,000 miles. Had some luck recently with a power loss problem by replacing plugs, cap, rotor, and wires, but there is still an ongoing issue:
After driving it for an hour or so on the interstate, there reaches a point where the power loss occurs again, almost as if something is shutting off (hesitation, no acceleration, etc). Recently it threw a CEL which said: "P1190: Manufacturer-controlled fuel and air metering".
Does anyone have an idea what this might be? Thanks in advance....
