If its staying open...yes thats fine as you wont build boost.
If its shut, then its not a good idea as you will KEEP builing boost.

how do i know? it makes a crap ton of noise for no reason. stupid. crappy factory wastegate.

into the waste gate? hold on. i love my car but im not about to wax it alright. it sounds like my hks flutter vaulve is on crack. like every time my rpms go down it is like there all fahodadodadodadodadodado thats the sound. i did my best

anyone else confused? the BOV won't make any noise if theres no boost.

Not only am I confused, but those other posts damn near gave me a seizure. haha

And to answer your question, yes, you can drive on a f'd wga. But make sure to stay out of boost. Mines just about gone too and I've been driving on it for a while because other issues keep me from buying a new wga. But I stay out of boost to make sure I don't blow the engine.

If you have a boost gauge you can make sure you are staying out of boost. if not then its really hard to tell unless you can tell what you are doing.

alright. um. right! thats what i thought. i said that. i dont get why its making noise. and if it were my wg either way why would my car be trying to stall? i didnt thing that had anything to do with it. listen i have no idea what to do. if i took a video with my phone and put it up somewhere online would somebody watch it. could my blow off valve be fubar? the last thing i want to do is take my car to a shop. aw you guys are trying so hard for me thank you. this is why robyn hates cars:)

as well as, my boost gauge is broken,. i mean like from the vacuum line and i would use my old gauge but its "sensorless" seeing as the car its in, doesnt have a freaking computer. maybe ill go jack one from a friend just to rig it tape it to my winsheild or something

I'm so confused...

can you take a step back and please try to explain what the problem is from the top?

... my car stalls and makes noises for no reason. IM CONFUSED! okay. im going outside to take a video and ill link you guys too it. if i do that it will help right instead of me trying to mimic my car via kewboard (ex: fahodadodadodado)

Well the car trying to stall could be several things. I know you checked all your vacuum lines and intercooler hoses, but try checking them again; but check them THOROUGHLY. Small cracks in the vacuum lines can be nearly invisible, but cause issues. Same with cracks in the stock intercooler pipes. Another thing to try is cleaning the EGR. If it gets too much build up, it will get stuck and cause some problems also.

As for the boost gauge though....I'm not sure where you're going with that. Boost gauges are mechanical; meaning they require no electronics....no sensors. All it takes is a vacuum line from the back of the gauge and route it to a vacuum source (I have mine t'd in with the wga). Depending on your money flow, they're pretty cheap. I know the local autozone/advanced sell the autometer ones for like $60-$75.

nope everything is connected, and there is no cracks. the sound echoes out of my cold air intake. its weird

my prosport premium has a sender... some are electronic.

sounds normal to me, so it may or may not be related to the problem you're encountering. my SSQV is setup to recirc, and I have a cone filter on the stock intake... it sounds nearly the same as when I had it set up VTA.

either way, I don't understand why you were suspecting the WGA to be a problem.
