OMG SRT-4!!!! Must read!!!!!!

Sorry if this is under the wrong topic. Well today I went to the Moroso Track w/ Spoolinmp3 (Terry) and on the way back to Miami we saw a Dodge Neon SRT-4, WOW that car is really ******* fast everyone that talks s*** about that car is in for a good one. I believe it is 2.4L 4 cyl. turbo 16g big ass intercooler dual exhaust Boosting 13 psi stock!!!!!!!!!!! dont get me wrong I personally think the car is disgusting nasty but its true they are really fast and the scary thing is he only paid $22,000 out the door cheaper and faster than an MSP, RSX-S, SI, WRX, the down fall it has absoultely no handleling... needs major suspension done to this car. How if anybody that has a 3 inch exhaust knows about backfiring from a turbo car... well this car was doing it on stock exhaust meaning still retaining his cats and resonator. Beware!

How do you know it was a stock Exhuast, he may have went straight to the muffler shop to get a new one.

Leave it to an american car company to build ANother car that goes fast only in straight lines.

if he paid 22000 he paid more than I did for my msp, so dont start blowin smoke up my a$$. I do agree that it is fast as s*** though. but that was not what I was looking for in a car. you can make any car on the road stupidly fast if you have the resources and the time.

the srt4 has no muffler. Its just a straight pipe (with cats) out the back....very un-oem like, but cool.

Linux it wasnt me or Terry we didnt go in our cars I went in my friends suby Highly modded. We started in secong gear and he took off before us the suby catched up and we were half a car length in front of him ( front of his car was by our back tire) that car was fast!

Redrims thank your right I talked to him after we raced and it comes like that stock he had no modds done to it but it was very impressive that it was blowing back fire like that.

dafababa yo buddy I'm not blowing smoke up your ass and still you paid more what I said he paid 22000 out the door meaning thats after license, taxes, etc. You probably paid like 23 or 24 for your car after taxes. The car costs 18000 sticker price MSP 20500.

But yea everybody is right its a neon and its ugly but its fast and thats whats gonna matter when you see one of these uglies out in the street maybe if there is traffic you can smoke him but in a straight away good luck.

Also those cars are very very bad on suspension they ride very high of the ground twice then what a MSP rides they have at least a 4 or 41/2 finger gap in the front tires and when you step on it the front end picks up like a mustang or camaro. Trust me very funny to see

Ummm, according to EVERYTHING I've read, the SRT4 handles well...even stock $14K Neons are nimble...

Lots of Neons race in organize events and do pretty good. Nothing a good set of springs cant fix.

It is very fast and it back fires like a mofo

Backfires are caused by an overly rich condition and unrestrictive exhaust
