Oil pressure readings

I just installed my oil pressure gauge this weekend, all works well, but I am concerned about the readings. When the engine and oil are cold, at idle, the oil pressure is at around 55-60psi (10w40), and ramps up to about 75psi as you open the throttle. However, once the engine and oil heat up, the readings drop. I expect this, but not to the extent that I am seeing. Coming to work today, when I parked at the train station after a 30 minute drive, I notice that at idle, the pressure was only around 20-25psi. I expected it to go down, but not that far. The service manual states 57-71psi @ 3000rpm, but they give reading for idle at 1000rpm.
Is this normal? Reason to be concerned?

That's normal. There's nothing to be concerned about.

10psi for every 1000rpm is a good rule of thumb. Your oil pressure is fine.
