oil cooler

you could get an aftermarket one. there might be some car part websites that sell them.

stealthwyvern can you help me??? the story: few days ago i check the coolant tank and for my surprise, it had a little spots of oil in that, i check the radiator and it was the same history.... well i took the car to the mechanic and he test the oil system with pressure and he told me that he didn't found any leak, he did a compression test and it was ok.....I was thinking that may be the oil cooler have a little crack inside it, because the other option is the HG, but i don't think that the HG is the problem because i don't see the symptoms of that....

If it's not the head gasket it has to be a bad turbo. I'm leaning towards HG, not sure how the oil cooler could cause the oil and coolant to mix.

mmmm, but i change the turbo about 2 years ago, i don't think the turbo has failure. If the oil cooler have a crack inside the walls where the coolant pass, i think the oil could pass to the coolant system, don't you think??

ok first off you can still have a blown head gasket and not have any oil show up in the coolant and the other way around. However I think a compression test would show that.

Now did you get the coolant tested? I don't see any mention of that. Let me know the results of that test and then we will go form there.

No you can put a contraption on the radiator that will tell you if the coolant has any oil in it. I saw a video of how to do it on YouTube when I was trying to figure out if my head gasket was bad or not. I realized the HG was bad when exhaust gasses were bubbling into my coolant overflow.

do i have to buy a test kit?? or some mechanics have it??? i do a little search and the only thing that i found it's some strips to test the coolant
