don't you dare think this is an excuse not to go to the partay :p

all of the interior is fine, i've yet to hear from the insurance co, and determine if its going to be totaled.

i have dave b gauge rings (x3) that are installed, like i said, the interior is fine, so if i end up buying it back, for any of you that need windshields, etc...

i'll keep you guys up to date on the msp matter

if i can get my hands on a MSM before then, or hitch a ride, I'll go :D

Oh no! Not another one. How freakishly random circumstances to cause the wreck too, eh? Glad you're okay Turtle...

I hate all animals that wander the natural habitat that pose as obstacles for us drivers... I think I'm going to get a car mounted rifle soon...

Damn sorry to see that. I've had a couple close calls myself heading to work in the morning and having deer come out of nowhere. Glad to see you're okay.

If you do part out let me know, an interior swap or 5 lug w/rear disc swap are on my list.

I feel a GB on hood-mounted rifles soon......

i guess they like to make money. apparently, in nebraska, they total when repair = 75% of value of the car. and they valued the car at just over 15k. total mark is about 11k.

I've heard from a friend who works in the collision center the car is at, and she says it looks to be totalled but she hasnt gotten to the car yet...

Now the problem is, if I buy it back to part it out, How the hell am I going to do all that? Since I have no way of transporting it someplace else, and my insurance also comes into play, if i still have to have it in my policy, where to take it, to take it apart... etc etc etc...

Maybe offer it up to other folks on the forum who have more time/space for such a project.

if you buy back your totalled car, theres no reason to have it on your insurance...

Forgive me if my response seems stupid -- I have no personal experience with a totaled car -- but this is just what popped into my head.

If you have AAA, would they be able to show up at the collision center and transport your car back to your house? I know it would cost a bit -- I had my MSP towed about 10 miles a couple weeks ago (stupid punctured radiator), and it cost $15.

But still, to pay $15 and to have the totaled MSP at your house to be able to part out yourself -- that'd be pretty sweet, IMHO. And you KNOW the vast majority of the car would disappear in a heartbeat, thanks to the vultures here. ;)

P.S. I am one of those vultures. There's some parts I'd love to snag if your car is totaled out! :D

P.S.S. I also have no idea what the insurance ramifications are. If there even would be any? Wouldn't you just remove the MSP from your insurance policy? The end?
