Official shift knob thread

Any one know who makes these?

the cylinder style shift knobs appear to be tenzo-r brand, they call them JDM type. i dont believe they still make them but you could probably find them or something like it from some retailers (or ebay). not sure about the ball style shift knob but i would venture to guess they are also available from your fine auto parts retailer.

looks like I'm the only one with this guy. It's a weighted leather razo ... I love it
I need a leather shift boot though.

I almost never post here... My '02 ES is my daily and as such doesn't have many mods.

Anyway, I hate when the steering wheel/shifter are rubber, rather than leather. I found a Miata Nardi wheel to deal with that issue.

I wanted a round knob like the stock rubber one (pictured above in Khemraj's post). After looking around I found that the leather knob from a Mitsubishi EVO has the right threads, and is a nice little black leather ball with a 5-speed pattern on it. Fits perfectly.

Pictures to follow, if the snow here cooperates. Sorry if this is old news; I searched but didn't find any reference to the Evo knob.

damn those ARC knobs are badass.... but the prices are just too high to make it worth it for me. guess i'll get a blox knob- it looks the same

I thought the EXACT same thing. I really wanted an ARC Knob.

Blox Knobs are very good quality though, great weight and they actually do look quite different than the finish on the ARC one (as you can see in my picture a few posts up).

I just wish Blox made their Billet Knobs in 10x1.25 and a 6-Speed. :(

..

i figured shift knobs and shift boots go hand in hand.. i didnt find an official shift boot thread lol

anyone that wants to get rid of their 03.5 colored/dirty msp shift boot's stitching, this is what ive came up with.. bought a permanent black fabric marker from a craft store for $2.30. i stayed away from a black sharpie cuz it start looking purple after a while. i went over the stitching twice after i gave it a few minutes for the first application to dry
