*Official Dyno Day pic/vid thread!*

If you look up in the driver's seat you can see the dashhawk freaking out from all the knock.

GOD I LOVE THIS CAR

Edit: Thanks for putting up the videos, btw

Hahaha... blue green red purple!!! Why the hell is it doing that?

I also love how after your run you were like "**** you all! I'm getting an S2000!" or something like that.

You have a solution in the works? Do you have a DP?

All of the DISI's inherently knock. I have a theory that most of it is false knock from the noisy drivetrain, but regardless... the sensor thinks it's hearing knock... so it's retarding timing. Combine that with running pig rich and here we are.

I've got a used downpipe I'm gettin' in the next few weeks- leaning it out will do a lot, alone. There's a possibility that it's dumping so much fuel it's burning the spark plugs out and missing, even.

Regardless, it needs tune, meth, and a few more air-moving parts and it'll clear up.

I would also like to apologize to anyone that had to smell my car.

Anna thanks a ton for setting this up!! I had a great time and it seems everyo e else did as well.

Awesome vids and pics Hector as usual you the man!

It was only a 2 wheel dyno. We try not to bring it up it's a sore subject with suspect987!

Bryan I got you!!

you'll have to apologize to everybody then, lol.

Bill, i <3 your car. Glad you had a good time.

2wd dyno couldn't run ms6's.

well .... according to aric all we would have to do is crank the ebrake. it's been done before apparently ...

What are your mods as of now? Do you have step colder plugs? I think your engine just being washed with fuel.

My sheet:

Me and Dan were just talking about what a Stock MS3 would put down. My guess was 230-235 WHP.
and I just realized Tylers was stock...right...I didn't know what your numbers were till now!!!

So Dan there you go:
You got about 50 HP over stock.

Power-wise... intake, inlet, test pipe, tmic, bov

Step colder plugs would be a waste right now with it running so rich- but that's definitely on the to do list.

None of this surprised me, really. I just didn't expect to see the symptoms so prevalently. In the coming weeks I'll be adding some things on to lean it out (downpipe, fmic, exhaust mani), and by winter will be fully bolted with meth, should be sitting happily around 300-320, just in time to deal with a foot of snow on the ground.

Just in time to **** the s*** out of Dan's car. (hump)

such vulgar language spewing forth

Anna, meth helps to run the engine cooler, so you can advance timing slightly without detonation :) that way extra ponnies :)
btw. 2 bad i didnt go.. man i wanted to see what my car puts down on the dyno.. I am soooooo hoping for 180whp :)
