All show my ass, your car visibly looks stock. Carbon goodies arent on yet....
i love CF goodies im starting my own little collection of CF.
I'm talking to the people on these forums who know all the s*** I've done to the car and installed. Under the HOOD may look good, but all of it doesn't mean anything at the moment.
Good...tired of looking at all that painted wanna be carbon fiber![]()
what painted wanna be carbon fiber...i dont have any of that on my car its a black hood and trunk from my brothers old protege
Nice job on the car as well as the documentation. Very clean.
I'm just kidding with ya.. I remember saying how your carbon hood and trunk look clean on some other thread, then you commented back saying there were just painted
Thank you sir..
Thx @ sderrickson...
She moves pretty good as of right now. Some new tires, a good tune and the carbon goodies on will step it up a notch. She should be driving on rails when it's all said and done, but unfortunetly she can't get into boost because of the stock tune
I'm all show, but no gooo...

Great thread, pics and comments. I am amazed at how clean your ride is, especially on these dirty Houston roads.
Last update was in July, it's September now.How is the build going? Inquiring minds are waiting!
I don't post much, mostly lurk. I'm currently contemplating either A. - Selling my worn out Spicy, 150,000K, Zero mods, 100% stock, (new Exedy S1, that's it) *immaculate* paint and interior though, zero door dings, namely because it has been garage kept (home & work) for the past 8 years, or B. - rebuilding it, going forged with mild upgrades to keep it a manageable daily driver. Aside from the engine & turbo being old and tired, it needs a lot of minor work, struts, clunk-fix, etc.
Wife is pushing me hard to sell it, says I'm getting too old to be driving a "car like that". She has hated the car from the day I picked it up at the dealer. She's an Aggie...and it's an ORANGE car.. (Texas folks will understand what I'm saying..I bet you can guess the color of her vehicle..)
Cash for a build isn't the problem, time is, since it is still my DD. I'm still on the fence. Everyone here who has traded away their MSP seems to regret it, so that might sway my decision. This thread is inspiring me to take a second look at a engine rebuild..
Kinda sucks, when you are young you can't afford the cool things you want, and when you get older, you have the money, but no time to enjoy those cool things.![]()
@mazdaspeed2oo35
I believe the firmware update will only be for the newer model Haltech's.
This was posted on JDMSam's forum...
"From my continual development for my own MSP, I have now the beta test firmware upgrade for complete sequential fuel injection for our cam sensor/cam gear.
There is no better ECU than a Haltech for the MSP. The firmware has our exact trigger and home pattern.
Gone are the days of having to modify the factory cam gear/sensor or swapping it with a 626 gear/sensor.
If you have a Sprint 500/Platinum1000/2000 and also want to beta test please post in here."
David, don't give up on the car. Its a lot of ups and downs with the MSP and unfortunately now is the down time. But you will figure it out and make it run great.
Long time no see David, Hows she doing ????? hahah dumb question because everytime i get on this thread there is good s*** going on.. Im antious to know whats up with that Firmware update from Haltech. is it for the E6X or newer model ???? Well changing the subject a little I have come up with something you might be extremely interested and is a must if you want to have a bullet Proof Transmission... and to prevent gear breakage

Wow so Im ****** then. I have the E6X, is there a way to ask Haltech to make an update for us the E6Xs Users ?? i need to change to sequential to make my car run better without the need to get rid of my Adjustable cam gears..
