Nice RED Mazdaspeed6!!!

ditch the wheels, ditch the crappy top mount intercooler, go with a nice fmic and some nice 18's and put on the normal mazda6 tail lights!

then it ='s badasS!

I'm going to sound like a broken record but I can't stand the wheels. For 30k, it better have better wheels then those....ick. Then there's the lack of any ground effects. The normal 6 with all the addons looks a lot better.

I also do not like the red.

i always find this forum hillarious when talkin about other cars...lol

for reals.

i think people who buy this car aren't going to do alot of serious modding there might be a few ... but majority will buy it for what it is.

then its going to fail horribly. No one will buy this car if it is "just what it is". Tuners looks to turbo AWD platforms, and this one doesnt compete at the 30k price range, and grown up people dont look to mazdaspeed to make thier next awd sporty, but not sporty awd sedan... The target market will go pick up a G35AWD, or 325Xi, or Audi A4... I hate to say it, but there isnt a market for this car, and it will be a flop in huge proportions.

*edit*
does anyone know why they went to tb injection instead of direct injection??? I mean what the hell were they thinking? Is there some kind of benefit here?

Do you mean why did they go with DI instead of Port injection?

Lower fuel consumption and higher power. Direct injection allows the engine to run leaner when not under load by injecting the fuel later in the cycle. Since the fuel is injected in the cylinder and not in the intake port you don't have to worry about pre-detonation. Because of this you can run higher compression ratios that boost power and volumetric efficiency. Plus some of the fuel injected will vaporize and cool the intake charge/cylinder walls.

I read 2 pages waiting to say that, BASTARD!
This is the kind of car some one like me will by. I would do light mods. Just enough to get to that 300 rang.

Ther are plenty of 6's on the road. And those older guys 30-40 who want a decently priced sedan awd turbo. We all know older guys who would buy this car. I definately do. And 30k isnt alot for a car for a odler person whos lookin for luxury/sporty. its actually alot cheaper than the other cars u mentioned. G35- audi - bmw - benz - s60R cost atleast 35-45k. Look how many legacy's u see on the road..and i havent seen a G35X at all, those things didnt seel for s***. but all the "tuners" want them. But wait Tuners dont buy 35k luxury sport cars, if they do they lease them for a year..l (yes). Only reason tuners are into AWD is b/c of the EVO and STI..now everyoen wants AWD so they can go jumpin off the starting line and wow the crowd, or a nice oversteer AWD slide off the AutoX course/road... b/c they "think" they know how to drive. i categorize this car with the
Maxima - RL - Legacy - S4 - Ford 500 - S60 - 300C - 3 series - C Class benz, those are all 30k - 35k priced cars..they seem to be sellin pretty well.

What adult really cares if his 6 has racing harts? or even knows what a racing hart is..lol

Now the MS3 ill be a tuner aimed vehicle...which will hopefully be my enxt vehicle :p

I agree with most of what you said and, while most 35+ buyers don't know what racing harts are, that wasn't really the point. It's not about brand here but looks. Mostly everyone on here agrees these are some of the wost wheels around. If a potential Maxima, TL, Legacy GT buyer walks into a mazda showroom and is turned off by the wheels, regarldless of everything else, that could be enough to sway them. While I don't particularly like the wheels on any of the cars I just mentioned, for the target market you and I both agree Mazda's targeting, these types of wheels are exactly what they're looking for. Nothing too over the top... but nice.

It's really a simple fix. Hopefully Mazda will get it right before they roll these things out. Someone with some photoship skills should put the Altima SE-R wheels on instead. I dont' even like those all that much but they're 1000% better than these. Plus, I think gunmetal is the perfect compliment for this color. Black BBS wheels would undoubtedly be the best... but since those are wicked expensive, I can't blame mazda for not putting them on.

Mazda... if you're listening, ditch the snowflakes!!

hmm... snowflake= snow= awd nah!

I think you're off track on that point. Us "grown up" people can't always afford moving up to a G35, Audi, etc. Have you priced that s***? Those are for high salary familys or those without a teenage boy that eats a full meal every 15 minutes (baseball star, burns many calories.) The Legacy GT is on my next list (or a WRX wagon), as is the Speed6 now. As much as I can appreciate a STI or Evo, they're for young, pretend racers for the most part. I love performance but I don't necessarily need the 2F2F look driving through the curves taking my daughter to ballet class. Good engine, AWD, great handling, can take the family or grandparents on a safe, quiet drive while having a bit more room on long trips. Quite a few people are looking for good passing ability with some fun thrown in, and AWD is getting more and more popular. I think they'll meet their sales numbers.
