Next FUN RUN.....?

This weekend would have been perfect weather for a fun run, little foggy last night. I need to rotate my tires before this upcoming run and hopefully Ray has his car back.

They are trying to tell Ray it is abuse and warranty wont cover it. He will find out more from the service rep tomorrow.

What is exactly wrong with it and what do they call abuse? I may call it hard driving but a car should be able to handle that. Sounds like horse s*** to me.

Well, as the forums are saying this isnt that uncommon and abuse would be anything at around 12k - 15k miles. His is at 9k, a little premature for abuse. They are saying abuse becuase he has different tires on already. He has shown them the stock ones but they are still arguing. Thankfully for him he is a service advisor and knows the road. He has a call in to Honda N.A. and to the Secretary of State. He is just going to burn Victory Honda. As soon as the Honda Rep says fix the car he is going to not let Victory touch it and take the repair to Suburban Honda.

So because you change your tires that means you have to abuse the car? Dealers are always trying to get out of doing anything thats why I cant stand them. Do they even know what it is yet? From Rays description it kind of sounded like he popped the shift linkage off or something. You know how when you put the short shifter on you have to pop off the two linkages and theres that little white cup? Maybe something like that fell off or broke. I couldnt imagine it would be a clutch at 9k miles.

No, they put it up on the lift and popped the inspection plate and some fiber and metal came out. Tells them it is something a little more serious. Evidently one of the tools they use to guage abuse is tire wear.

Wow, that's a new one. Tire wear? This just confirms that Victory Honda is useless. After Dave's issues and now Ray's, I'm glad I don't own a Honda. Even Gorno is more flexible about that stuff, and Sesi doesn't really give a damn.

Damn, I think my mom got her Accord at Victory in Plymouth? Shes gotta take her car in for when it was hit in the parking lot at her work, I guess we will see how they handle that situation.

Her car was hit and needs body repair? Why in the world would you take it to the dealership?

I have no idea, maybe for an estimate to get an amount for the insurance company since they always have the highest costs. Doesnt make sense to me but its not bad, my moms been driving around with it for a week now.

Haha anti-XS.:D

I was thinking if you guys want to expand some of the fun runs and get some new people we should have our own tech inspections lol
I have a friend that wants to join us but his car wouldn't pass the most basic inspection by anyone haha most of the floor board area is rusted out and hes running on 4 different tires. Haha he's a great friend of mine but I don't want to see him try to push that car just to end up getting hurt. BTW He drives a 84 300Z turbo.

LOL... Where you been man? Was wondering if you were coming back in time to go on the fun run. Tell him to ride in the back of your car or ride with someone else. We dont however want anyone driving a car that shouldnt be on the fun run. Everything must work and be fun run worthy!

Yeah, that route isn't good for cars that aren't in good working order, so I'd have him ride along and film/shoot pics or something. If the windows don't work, thats one thing, but if he's got a busted swaybar or something, that's a little bit different.

Hey Bill whats up I have to catch up on about 20 pages in the random thread since I have been on vacation.

I would let him ride in the back of my car but that would drag my power to weight ratio down to a Geo metro.
This will be my second run with you fine Mazda people and I think I may have a chance to keep up with the group 1 guys Woot!
