Next Beetle?

Seems that someone at VW doesn't want to kill the new Beetle after the current model.

Good news.

These Stehrenberger illustrations show a very different car. With a sort of sedan/wagon type model as well.

At least if they make something similar to this sketch you can tell if the car is going forwards or backwards.

I can see the "beetle"esqe lines, but that is a pure concept. The New Beetle crowd would riot if they changed the main shape of the car.

nothing will ever replace the original Type I. They should just stop making the beetle. Same with the Type II. I'm glad they never released the "new" bus.

I actually like the current "New Beetle" just fine. (I guess that makes my wife an I trendy twits huh?)

I would even drive one as a daily driver. And if my 8 doesn't satisfy me like I think it will a New Beetle is in my top five cars to replace it with. (the list consists of cheaper more fuel efficient cars).

Doesn't look bad but like someone else said, it will pretty much kill off some of the sales from the hipster "in" crowd and compete with the Golf/Rabbit/GTI.
