First off, i would like to say hello to all the protege people out there. I love the site. I bought a protege5 about 6 months ago, already had an essential speed kit(POS). Well now it has gone under the knife. It is in the shop now getting pauter rods, wiseco 8.5:1 pistons, massive port and polish job, four larger injectors, mpi tuner w/ TM, t3/t4 turbo and a nice sized intercooler. Sorry guys, getting to the point, I've been reading all these horror stories on the MPI. I went to pick up my car Friday and the mechanic and i couldn't get it to spark. My question is.... once i get this thing tuned right will i continue to have issues or is it just the setting it up that is the b****? Like the title says I'm new to the MPI thing so be gentle, just trying to learn like the rest of you guys. Any helpful info that you guys could lend on tuning and keeping my car somewhat reliable would be great.

If you take your time and make sure that the car is working well you won' thave any issues at all.

glad to hear

glad to hear it. you seem like you really know your s*** focus. by the way where could i get the 3 inch turbo back exhaust you have listed. right now it is bottle necked to 2 1/2 inch exhaust. :(

Yeah, once it's done you should be fine as long as it's done right and there are no other issues. Make sure the wiring is done right!

Get one of your local shops to make it. I believe GHL also makes one.

EXACTLY!!!!!

Make sure the people who wired up it didn't fry the coils. If they left the key on with it not wired up right, it would of fried the coils. You'll see them melted if they were fried.
