New turbo

Hey i need a little help with something. My car has about 101000 miles on it and im pretty sure that my turbo is shot because my car doesnt quite move like it used to. So i have every intention of buying a new turbo and i was wondering if it would be a bad idea to put a brand new turbo in my car with this many miles on it. The car is in good shape but has been driven hard. i was thinkin of gettin the garret gt28r. Is this a good buy and will my car be ok if i put a new turbo in it? And is there any other turbo anyone would suggest in the 970 dollar price range?thanks

i wouldnt upgrade the turbo then. If anything just look at the for sale section and pick one up stock msp turbos can be had for about 300 bucks.
